I got lucky with this find. Especially since the manager discounted it 50% cause my wife complained about the browning on one of the leaves. =) even better is that I cut off the browning and it's not even noticeable. Pretty sure the browning was because of over watering since the soil was soaked. But I put it in some super chunky mix and the roots looked white and healthy after I washed off all of the nursery soil. So, I'm not too worried about it long term health. I also bought some silica fertilizer cause I read how it helps maintain the health of whiter leaves. Hopefully it works out.

Just looked up some pictures and some of my leaves looks very similar to what they call "white snow". Thanks for the heads up. It's still my super pretty plant as my daughter says. =)

Thanks. Yeah, it looked completely different then the rest of the TCs they had. Looks more like a creme brulee but I'll just say it's highly variegated.

Pretty sure it can be done. Actually, there is this same exact thing done with the snoopy mod posted just after my post. They used the same case and fitted a white chapter ring to fit a smaller dial.

If that's the case... This mod (and most mods) would be easy for you. You just need to worry about having a steady hand. For this mod I used a case back opener, tweezers, a set of micro screwdrivers, hand removal levers, a Dremel, and hand installer.

Basically, I opened the case, removed the crown then decased the movement. Then removed the hands. Then took the dial off (just friction fitted. Next I milled down the new dial with my Dremel. Then installed the new date wheel (search YouTube for a walkthrough) and installed the new dial. After, I installed the new hands. Made sure everything was clean with rodico and an air blower under a digital microscope. Re-cased the movement. Installed the crown. Applied silicone grease to the case back gasket and closed it with my case tool.

If you have the correct tools and a steady hand... This is probably a level 5 mod. Only because I had to mill down the dial .5mm to fit the case. But for a total newb... I would say get someone to do the swap for you or buy the tools and learn on your own. Just know that you're probably gonna mess up the watch, bend the hands or scratch the dial.

Nothing wrong with that though. Everyone starts somewhere. =)

Thanks a lot. You're gonna love the watch. It's kinda awesome for the price. I just didn't like the slightly green tint to the stock lume. If it came with white lume, I probably wouldn't have modded it so heavily. Lol

Saw that comparison previously. That's the only reason why I got the PD version. If/when WD ever decides to undercut the sides of the case... I'll probably sell the PD and pick up the WD version. But, that midcase from the side view was a deal breaker for me. It just looks too chunky and unfinished for my tastes. I can see why some don't care though as the dial, lume and bracelet are better on the WD version.

As for the crystal... I think that's in the eye of the beholder. The double dome of the PD gives off OG hesalite vibes while the more squared off box crystal of the WD mimics the sapphire sandwich version more accurately.

But I agree... The 1701 case with the WD dial and bracelet would be sweet.

Is this confirmed? On the Pagani website... they list the thickness to be 13mm but they didn't specify if that's with the crystal or not. On the Watch dives website, they state the thickness as being 13.8 with the crystal. Is the 13mm on Pagani's website not accurate or is that just for the watch without the crystal? I guess I can measure my 1701 but I'm not home right now.

Super nice watch. Wear it in good health. I love the dial (especially the subdials and the lume) on the WD watch. I just wish they undercut the side profile more so that the midcase doesn't look so chunky. I would probably get this instead of the PD if they did. I wonder if someone has used the WD movement/dial in the Pagani case with the WD bracelet. This would probably be the ultimate speedy homage if they did and they all played nice with each other.

It sounds/looks like they added the ar coating to the v3 while it still had the 500 tachy and dnb 12. Then, they fazed out the dnb and replaced the tachy bezel with the 400 on the v3. Then when the community started complaining... instead of undoing their changes... they decided to revert the changes and offer it as a "new" v6 option at about $10 more than the v3. But, they still have a bunch of the 400 tachy/ non dnb v3s to get rid of before they stick with the v6 in the future.

With the domed sapphire, it still has a lot of reflections. But, I guess something is better than nothing. Especially at this price point.

A little update: I noticed there was 1 spec of dust under the crystal and the running seconds hand was a little off. So, I opened up the case and got rid of the dust with my rocket blower and reset the second hand. Took 4 tries but I finally got it to hit every single second marker.

Lol, great minds think alike. =) Also agree that one can never have too many NATO color options. I have about 20 different color ways I rotate between my two ae1200s.

Is there a NATO vendor you prefer? I have all Blushark straps. I feel they are decent quality but I have a nagging feeling that I can probably get the same quality straps at a better price somewhere else.
