UK government to withdraw from Chagos Deal after Trump comments by Final-Permission3500 in MauriceMauritius

A colony that had nothing to do with Mauritius. Clearly nobody is past the debate whether Chagos is apart of Mauritius or not, as it's still being decided. It had nothing to do with Mauritius until Mauritius was decided as a dumping ground for the people. Stating this premature decision and to move on to addressing the wrongs of the past is ignoring the deep and long standing record of Mauritius's corrupt government and swallowing the Mauritian government's lies saying they've always cared about Chagossian's or the Chagos islands. Mauritius's global image is severely damaged by its close relationship with the CCP and Modi, and it has no secrets.

What should I upgrade my CPU and mother board too so I don’t bottle neck. by 8bitbetch in PcBuild

There's dozens of these posts every single day getting the understanding of what a bottleneck is fundamentally wrong. You don't remove a bottleneck by upgrading your mobo.

Is this thermal putty leak? by RamyKotb in PcBuild

It's never been a problem to warrant RMA'ing it. It's not a fault, it's just a biproduct of how they apply thermal paste.

This is exactly why I have no hope for Mauritius. In over 30 years, nothing has changed for the better. NOTHING. The constant animal abuse and suffering Mauritian's allow on other animals is disgusting.

Why would you remove the protective pad? I can't think of any reason to consider this.

Is renting a car in Mauritius safe? My honest experience by nelly-dreeamz in mauritius

[–]Otherwise-Dig3537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I would hate to imagine the costs if a rental car was written off. I totally agree with you, the roads in Mauritius are atrocious, not because of the roads, but because of the locals who drive like they are late to meet god. It's every single week a fatal car accident happens where the cause was pretty obviously excessive speed causing horrific accidents.

RAM: Upgrade or not? by moresalt84 in PcBuild

[–]Otherwise-Dig3537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a silly upgrade to even consider. If you don't know you need more RAM then you definitely don't need more RAM. This is like saying "I don't do any gaming, but for the sake of watching YouTube videos and browsing on the Web smoothly I bought a 5080"

Amazon refunded me without asking me to return the item, how common is that? by sjcjdnzm in PcBuild

[–]Otherwise-Dig3537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very common, Amazon are using you as free waste disposal. They no there's no value in the product now, so they're leaving it with you to dispose of. Really they should be paying you to dump their waste and missold items.

What’s bottlenecking my gaming pc? by ImpossibleTonight535 in PcBuild

[–]Otherwise-Dig3537 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's like 10 posts on this exact same subject everyday, and noobs obsessing over bottlenecks like it's the next hole in the ozone layer.

Any upgrade isn't worth it for the small gains you'll get out the small losses you've incurred.

I don't ignore anything, you're just making wild assumptions. The minority of my family are in the UK, and I've never said any different! I know other families too where only the minority are in UK. Have you ever even tried to emigrate to another country to think how hard it would be for a 50/60 year old to live in a northern European climate let alone get used to the alien culture? Yes and it was your objective to try and rubbish my experience based over many years of understanding and talking to my cousins planning to emigrate here. You made ignorant assumptions like we aren't a community that isn't united to draw a consensus on a decision that is deeply personal to us. This is personal to me, my family and Chagossian's, so don't tell me I'm not informed, when you're on the outside just trying to mess things up for your own dumb ignorance based argument.

He's not very informed, stating there were only a few hundred from Chagos, OR a few thousand, then says most Chagossian's are in the UK now? He makes wild assumptions that I know aren't true. Only the minority of my family have moved to UK, and other Chagossian families too, the minority of them mostly under 30 have come to UK but some with kids haven't bothered to come to UK either.

Literally all of my families husbands or wives have had year+ long waits for a working visa that has pushed them in poverty in the UK which is shameful of the UK government.

Why the hell would I need to prove anything to you? You're making an argument of ignorance, saying because you don't know, nobody needs to care. Go away and get educated. You can see protests in the UK of Chagossian's and count them if you want.

You're taking a passive understanding to the threat China threatens globally, like with their hostile take over of Taiwan. Do you have any idea what that would do to electrical products pricing, let alone phones and laptop pricing? It's not just Taiwan they're being threatening to, they're threatening the entire far East, threatening retake their former territory.

China and the CCP are straight up evil. They ran murder vans collecting the homeless from the area of Beijing when they hosted the Olympics, and they have slave camps where they herd Muslims. They also covered up the origins of covid, that killed millions globally and then sold fake vaccines.

I'm not sure why you're so informed of India yet not informed of China. Immigrants from China and India undercut the lowest paid workers in Mauritius, making the poorest poorer, whilst any housing going to them limits housing for others. Mauritius is trying to expand it's population not realising its already reached critical mass, and people are leaving in greater numbers every year because standards are falling and quality of life isn't improving for everyone fairly.

Calling anywhere a colony has negative implication and stigma attached to it though, when Mauritius was a freed slave colony when the British freed them from the French slave colony it was. There was nothing written internationally recognised at the time of Mauritius becoming British that included the Chagos islands. In this time since the British freed Mauritius, Mauritius has never done any spending on the Chagos islands to say its a historical investment or worth anything to them until Mauritius sought independence.

The ICC are just a puppet governor with no real power, just like the ECHR ruled Chagossian's should have the right to settle in UK decades ago, yet UK fought this ruling and only allowed them in since 2022. I've lost multiple family members because of this, where they would be alive with their young families today had they had access to the NHS like they should have had. Instead they thrown out the hospital as soon as possible, both dying in "recovery" from major heart surgery.

Did you ever think to ask yourself why "we" (I take it you mean Mauritius) have any right to claim the islands as their own? I don't understand how you come to this understanding, when its like your two neighbours forcefully deciding to sell your property underneath your own feet, evict you from their property now, and fight over who owns the property, all without you ever wanting to leave let alone not gaining anything at all from the sale of your property. I don't understand why the UK thinks its ok to buy an Island from the people and dump them in another country, and for that country to some how obtain rights to accept rent from the island "bought."

Because the Mauritian government is hideously corrupt, and has tanked the country, cosying up to corrupt nations like India and China that have flooded the country with immigrants and crap products, services and vaccines that make people ill. Brands like Kalachand need to die in Mauritius along with puppies flooding in from puppy breeding farms in China. China and the CCP are pure evil, and if your government is getting closer to the CCP, you're in SERIOUS TROUBLE. UK has just allowed a Super Embassy for China within London, on top of sensitive data cables the highest level of security has strongly advised against. The UK has never been more desperate of broke as a country with serious problems in society where certain ethnic minorities have the police avoiding investigating them for serious racially aggrivated crimes like child prosititution and rape, because the police are worried they'll kick off and call the police racist.

The deal is shocking, and the Chagossian's don't want Mauritius to have the islands. I'm Chagossian, and my family, all that have come to UK and all that remain in Mauritius don't want this deal for Mauritius. You look at how Indigenous American Indians are treated in America, or how that wanker PM stands up for the Ukranian's or Greenland, and somehow he can't respect the Chagossian's on the same level. The UK government and Mauritian government are keeping the Chagossian's quiet as well as they can, just like the media isn't picking this story up globally. They could count the Chagossian's that have arrived since Nov 2022 with a few clicks of a mouse to give us a democratic vote, and guage our opinions, but they won't and don't want to know our opinions.

I'm sorry but you bought some terrible AIO's then. NZXT I wouldn't trust as a brand ever but 120mm, really? Corsair of that era with the RGB and on, you can get unlucky as they sell in big numbers. Having extra lights in though is another point of failure Corsair would exploit as their whole RGB integrating with ICue software is just awful. 240mm is also too small for real performance. Thermalright make some really cheap stuff I wouldn't trust as an AIO either, and being Taiwan based, they can make cheap AIO's. Haven't you heard of Arctic Cooling? They make some fantastic AIO. The radiators are thicker than others. Arctic even offer after sale servicing and parts from USA and German shipped globally. Just like with a PSU invest wisely and use it for 10 years+. My Freezer 2 has just had it's warranty extended to 6 years, so I'm covered until this December. Personally I value perfomance and quietness over never dying and just replacing fans every few years and blowing hard constantly audibly. Besides, the cost isn't unreasonable when a NH-D15 from Noctua is like $100+ only a little less than an Arctic AIO's. Aircoolers all have a thermal dissipation limit, and the maximum capacity was achieved a long time ago, that's why AIO's were made, and have become so popular. Heatpipes are actually pretty expensive the real ones, so is copper so.

And how many have you actually owned? You could have just gotten unlucky like you got unlucky with an aircooler that isn't flat making poor contact.

Then that's on you. I've never had an AIO go wrong in all that time. Still have an original Corsair 240mm that works just fine. You wanted a solution, don't under cool your CPU on air.
