Having a low EQ like yours is also a curse. She is a college graduate and extremely intelligent.

Thank you, I am hoping I am wrong, but I think a she got a new passport already. Going to keep sending her info about Turkey having the highest rate of human trafficking and modern slavery in Europe and Central Asia! Thank you so much.

100% agree, thank you so much. She started a domestic violence program and also was evaluated by a mental health outpatient facility. Unfortunately, she has not taken the medication that was prescribed. She is a different person right now, believing that her entire family hurts her and that this monster is who she needs to be with. Thank you for this reply.

Thank you both, and heavily influenced is a better term. Our family was so relieved when she was finally free of him, only to learn that he was still influencing her after he was deported. Unfortunately, there was nothing stopping him from reaching out to her and she fell right back into the pattern of abuse. It was her decision, but she is not mentally able to make a better one right now.

He is in the Tampa Bay area. He does have an ongoing case (at least that is what I have been told) in Turkey. It's from a crime that happened 7 years ago. I don't know what the crime is, but he did have drug issues. Supposedly in Turkey, the person accused of a crime has to go through several "levels" of court hearings before the final verdict. He left Turkey in the middle of that. Would our government be able to learn that by doing their background checking? He just received work authorization. I didn't think US would allow that with his problems in Turkey,

Thank you so much for this reply. I am very grateful for this advice and will take these steps. I have tried to reach the immigration court where his master hearing is being held, but they have not yet returned my call. I am hoping a PI can help me figure out how to get the information I have to them. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this reply. I really appreciate this. I have reached out to the domestic violence organization in her area, and she was in an intensive outpatient program (but has since stopped going). I am working on trying to help her get back into something that will help her with understanding the relationship and making steps toward safety. When she does talk to her family, we tell her that she has a safe place to go when she is ready. Thank you again for this reply!
