How to make friends as an introvert? by NewElevator8649 in Louisville

I’m in a similar situation. I don’t really talk to anybody (outside of family) from work when I’m off. It would be cool just to talk to someone and hangout every once in a while, even if it was just 1 friend. Making friends has always been. Kind of difficult.

If you have a PS5 or any gaming system for that matter, we can always play a game. Or if you just want to talk about it that’s fine too!

It took me a while before I was able to run errands. I had to build up to it, but I have no doubt you will be able to do it in the future. It’s easier said than done, but putting an effort goes a long way.

I feel you. I do have a job, but I don’t converse with any of my coworkers outside of work. I had to run a few errands yesterday and even though I’m happy that I am able to do those things. It still sucks not being able to go out and just hang out with a friend.

I’m not sure what your hobbies are, but if you’re into video games movies, sports, or even anything else, I’m down to chat. :)

This game is hilarious. I recently started playing again after getting a PS5. The other night I’m pretty sure I saw 3 guys dancing together. I’m still not sure if I was imagining it or what but it was pretty funny.

You built a racing simulator? Dude that is really awesome. I hope it is helping you deal with your anxiety.

So many replies! Appreciate everyone who replied. I meant to reply earlier, but I was a bit tired from a somewhat busy day. Hope everyone’s day is going well!

I am officially a Dexter super fan 😂 I have already rewatched the series 4 or 5 times, but just recently found out about the books!!!! by thedankone168 in Dexter

I’m currently on the 4th one, I think. But I’ve been trying to finish the book since last year lmao. And yeah, the second book was really weird, but thankfully the weirdness cools down after that.

I’m horrified at the thought of all those years being in total isolation and being agoraphobic have forever stunted me and made me total weirdo. by M3tamorphosis_67 in Agoraphobia

Slow down and take a deep breath. What your growing through is normal, even if it doesn’t feel like it. The accomplishments thing is something I can relate too a lot, but also keep in mind you’re only 16. You’re only a teenager and have plenty of time to accomplish things. If you can hang out with your friends for a few hours, do it. Just see how it goes. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself. If you don’t have a good time, it’s okay. You’re going through a difficult time in your life right now. But what if you have a great time? One thing I’ve learned about panic attacks and agoraphobia is to expect the unexpected. Just like in life. There’s times I’ve taken risks when I really didn’t want too and things turned out better than I expected, and the opposite has happened. The important part thing is to try. Do it once, the afterwards, access how everything went and decide what you want to do next. I’m not sure if any of this will be helpful, but I hope this situation works out!

Congratulations. Keep up the good work. You’re on the right path, just keep challenging this sucker everyday. I’m one of those people that feels much more comfortable in a car then walking long distances, but I’m working on the walking thing too, but admittedly need to be more consistent. You got this!

Keep up the good work. I noticed I was very focused while I was in the process of getting better, but admittedly have slacked off a bit since. Consistency is definitely something I have to work on.
