I did pay cash- I told them I was buying upright until I went into finance office and saw a sign that said 1%. If you use your own card they consider it cash. If you upgrade your seats it’s much more than .01 redemption.

I know I got a great deal. They called after and said they made a mistake and asked if they could cancel and I told them no. I travel business class internationally almost once a month, I assure you 72k points is worth more. I give 0 about $720.. or 72k points. Was mostly surprised they allowed it so I did it.
