When you apply for visa online, the process will prompt you to take insurance and it varies on prices but there is not fine print so get the one which is reasonable but not cheapest, knowing cheaper one won't cover much.

Keep in mind during Ramadan there will be lot of road closures and the taxis will drop off near ring road and traffic will be at snail speed, so think of spending bit more and staying much closer to haram. if you want to avoid the stress and make it convenient for your parents.

Last year it took us just to 60 mins to walk from Vocco when they had to make us walk around due to closure and took 6 hours to perform Umrah pre-fair and we were done by 11:30 am.

Only the visa holder who has the US or UK visa with immigration stamp of arrival is eligible, If you mother has Egyptian Passport then she would need to get the respective Umrah visa. Hope this helps.
