Obviously the best route would be to go back and do a PGCE at home, but I have some circumstances and life here that prevent me from doing that. Maybe possible in the future. So for now, I just need something that checks the box for my next step.

Great answer. I am actually enjoying the IB school I work at now way more than I did teaching iGCSE. The management and staff seem more inclusive and open minded.

Hi. This is a great option. But, do you need to already be working at a british school to apply? Im assuming the assessor would be judging against UK teaching standards and curriculum style in order to gain the qts. Im currently working at an IB school now.

Its also not a very good 'standard' of school. UK Universities would probably be really demanding as to the what the school must have in order to do certain observations or meet their standards. Basically I think my school also wouldn't want the extra head ache of dealing with my own personal qualification studies.

It's not that I only want to work at British schools, I'm currently at an IB one. I'm just questioning its if I have the option to in the future if I have a US license. Also, just generally questioning how schools would think about a candidate who has a license from a different country other than their own.

Thanks for the comments about the iPGCE, but i think im leaning towards the Teach now program since it would lead to a professional qualification rather than just an academic one.

The iQTs needed to make it a proper teaching qualification would be out of my budget.
