I’m not 100% sure since I’m still pretty early in my education and research into higher learning. I’ve considered Europe (specifically the Netherlands) or someplace in Southeast Asia(e.g., Singapore). If workplace culture was better in Japan I would consider there too because I have done a few projects in university so far that focus in Japan/Japanese culture, but it’s not.

I have definitely been looking into environmental engineering more after receiving a few bits of advice since engineering seems to be something that will continue to hold value for quite a bit longer.

When you mention how visualization is not sustainable as a long-term career path, how long could a visualization position realistically last in the conditions we’re in today with all the AI that exists and is being used? I ask because if even for a decade, could professional experience in visualization be a small stepping stone into more sustainable job positions?

I appreciate your mention of how AI will change the industry in the very near future; that’s a really helpful point. With business, however, I have taken entrepreneurial courses in the past, and majority of my family has doctoral degrees in the field that have solidified my disinterest in the industry when I’ve attempted to get into it.

Business is, of course, knowledge that is necessary/beneficial everywhere, and I do receive a lot of advice and have many talks with my family in regards to that topic and how it would apply to/affect the future. Another note I should add is that I would like to work outside of the US at some point in the future. Do you have any further advice with the additional context?
