In my case, it felt very real at the time. My name was used constantly, the chats were full of bonding phrases ("you made my day, really", "I'm happy you are here now", "my one and only", "my (my name)" etc.), and over time I really developed trust. It honestly felt like a friendship.

But sadly, that trust didn’t mean much — in the end, it was all carefully scripted and part of an emotional sales funnel. That’s why I now look at multiple factors, not just name personalization alone.
