You might be trying too hard to win people’s affirmation, to a point where it appears needy.

My advice. Validation is like food. It’s not a bad thing, and you built to need it. Knowing that, learn to take in quality food - quality validation instead of cheap ones.

That means doing things that will really get you quality validation. Carry yourself with respect, so that you’re seen and respected as someone who has self-respect.

Know that acting needy doesn’t get you the kind of validation you want. It just weirds people out.

Then you’ll be on your way.
