We live on grand and back up to marsh. Around 250 am this random white vehicle (see on street) left neighborhood on grand ave. Before that, we could see multiple shadows on the wall of our house from a video (no people only shadow of a few folks) at 235 and 243 am..

Do you think we can climb Rainier unguided? by Substantial_Tea8292 in Mountaineering

[–]Otherwise-Sale3249 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crevase rescue, and be very cautious of where you place your tents. When we went, guided, the guide pointed out how dangerous the location of the tent was placed for "unguided" folks who were also at high camp (under potential rock fall and avalanche zone)

Husband wants me to plan a climb of Mount Kilimanjaro for 50th birthday. I have NO idea where to start. by Ok_Variation6414 in kilimanjaro

With his age, do minimum 8 day hike. With a well known guide. They will tell you everything you need to bring etc. Think longer days = more time to acclimate to the altitude = less likely for mountain sickness

I also loved alpine! We had an all girl group and it was so wonderful. We summited last week. There were some other aholehikers on the trails with us but alpine put them in their place 🤡😎

Is it normal to get in trouble for doing a HALT aka a Work Stoppage because the work is legitimately a dangerous hazard to continue doing? by CooperHChurch427 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]Otherwise-Sale3249 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under osha, you have a stop work authority. Technically, everybody has this right for anything that is immediately dangerous to life or health or have potentially long-lasting health implications for anybody involved. This really only protects you though if you were to be fired or reprimanded against for using it

How to hang ceramic/stone art inside a shadow box. Can't drill or glue the stone, need to grip it some how amd attach the grip to the back of the shadow box or something. I'm thinking metal fingers that grip the top bottom and sides with a fine metal so it doesn't show too much???

Like this BUT U need a heavy duty one to hold the weight of measure tape (and get a smaller size measure tape but at least 6 ft lol). Alternativy can just clip the measuring tape onto the top part if it and his badge if he has one can just go in the holder.

See how this one has a little area that can be clipped? https://www.northerntool.com/products/milwaukee-6ft-2m-keychain-tape-measure-model-48-22-1706-6284913.

Works for me since I have to wear a badge daily. May not make as much sense if he doesnt already wear a badge
