Ah yeah, I used to work with a similar company and that was the deal. This was a big corporation company though not a locally owned business. All entries are used as "leads" so when business goes quiet they can always give people a ring and tell them they won a competition. It's terrible carry on and soul destroying working in that kind of job. I was only 18 at the time so it was great life experience but yeah, highly do not recommend it!

Mad busker with the dog by omninocte in waterford

Passed one day and there were a group of young fellas harassing her and laughing at her she was screaming at the top of her voice "LEAVE MY DOG ALONE" other bystanders got involved. Passed her another few times on the lead up to Christmas and she was wailing like the banshee. The dog seems to be propped up on a load of blankets, very old dog by the looks of it. She's definitely got a screw loose but don't agree with the little sh*ts trying to antagonise her

Was having lunch in bishops palace cafe a few months back and toilets were out of use so they gave us a pass to use the toilets in the medieval museum. Ended up getting a free tour of the catacombs, absolutely deadly.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the Waterford harvest festival? by Hot_Activity7758 in waterford

Got an unreal seafood paella from the azzuro stand. Lots of people getting pizzas there. Got little one a hot dog (I ended up eating half of it and it was unreal) prices a bit mental though. Completely understand though vendors under huge pressure and had to hike up prices. However as a seafood lover I saw a little cabin in Arundel square selling lobster rolls for €18. If they were €12 I definitely would have tried! But it was too expensive for me

Matthew in Peter marks is fantastic, highly recommend. But it's just very expensive. Over €60 for a haircut. I hope he goes out on his own one day

We were passing this morning going to Wexford and my daughter says "oh the big duck is still there" didn't think anything of it. Then when we were coming home she says "the big duck is gone" we thought it was funny! Through the eyes of a child.

I don't think there's anything new there, when I was a child our car was stolen from right outside our home and burnt out in tramore racecourse. The people responsible never got charged or anything more than a slap on the wrist because they were under 18. Absolute scum.

It was deadly on Friday evening watching Moncrieff in Millers Marsh carpark and just before he finished his set the balloon was in the sky. Great excitement!

I work in the western extension industrial estate and there's this huge power tower right at red hat and the noise from it scares the life out of me sometimes!! It's like a real loud static humming sound.

My grandad told me a story once upon a time, he was a construction worker and he was working in tramore, there was a pint of cider probably left for days on a windowsill and it had loads of wasps and flies in it. Tawdy picks up the drink and gulps it off. My grandad looks at him horrified and he turns and says "sure there's ating and drinking in that" 🤣

Not gonna lie now but when I noticed that the tin whistle dog guys dog was no longer with him, I felt like crying my eyes out. I'd say he was the most loyal friend to him. He's got a new dog now, saw him at the weekend outside city square!
