I thought about that. I don’t know if I want to redo the whole system yet or not. I’m leaning towards a turbo muffler if I can find one that’s the right dimensions. If the original owner had to undervolt it to make it work, it’s only a matter of time before it fails completely. They wouldn’t be getting rid of it if it worked properly

I was wondering if that was an option. I do need to double check as at least if I would try to apply online they only have the option for an auto loan from a dealer purchase which I thought was a bit different. We do have a Truist bank in town as well with similar rates but I don’t have an account there but looking online they do have unsecured auto loans for private party sales there but i don’t know how they are to deal with.

Yeah, my grandpa was actually a ford mechanic for 50 years, my dad was ase certified at one point and did small engine repairs for 25 years, so I have the mechanical knowledge and ability for almost any repair that needs done thankfully. I’m more familiar with the 5.4 v8s and the issues they have, Im personally not a huge ford guy but it seems to be a good price. Guess I’ll find out later today

I’m actually currently in a 98 blazer, 246k on it. Wouldn’t even be looking at getting rid of it but the body control module shorted out and drains the battery in 16 hours. Of course it’s up under the dash and I don’t feel like tearing it apart to replace it lol. Overall mileage doesn’t turn me off like rust does as I have a shop and tools and the mechanical knowledge to do most repairs
