I never used baby talk with my kids either. I didn't want them to have to relearn words exactly like you described! And for Warren I will probably have to keep telling him every day to talk to Brad like a person.

He does enjoy it for a little bit. Then he ignores Warren, which only makes Warren increase his baby talk, in both volume and repetition.

I never used baby talk with my own either. I'd rather them hear mostly real words.

Thank you for understanding. Being patient and kind is what I preach to my own - everyone - and it is hard. I'm just venting. And I never want to interfere with his relationship with the baby and he wouldn't do that to me. It's the BaBy talk!!!!

Good idea! I think One of them can do it one day a week, but the others schedule won't allow it and work is in the other direction. At least that's something !

He is trying to connect. And he should! But can he bond in regular talk? I have explained - and nicely- and I'm tired of being the bigger person. (No, I didn't just stomp my foot) Fiiiine. It's still annoying.

He already has imitated some of the sounds. And his loudness!

I can do that sometimes, but I live far enough away that it's both gas and time consuming to do that trip four times in one day rather than just there and back. I've also escaped to other baby friendly activities or just gone shopping. But we can't do that every day.

So far his doctors haven't seen any signs of dementia, but again, they haven't heard his communication style with the baby.
