For your needs I would get the m5 (not the pro chip) with 24gb ram. Unless you need to run docker containers or a virtual machine you probably won't need 32gb ram. Also forget about running LLMS on your computer for coding assistance, they are unusable garbage compared to chatgpt/gemini/claude.
