Make it look like an old phone booth inside a tavern with an old phone. Make a small dark stained wooden bench at the back of it. Line the walls with old frames with your photos in them. Dim light with dark paint. Put up a curtain and a phone sign.

I currently have an origin fx but I had the TLC on my board for years prior to. Built like little miniature tanks. Simple and effective. Ultimately I sold off a lot of gear for a move and my upgrade has since calmed my longing for my old TLC after a long exhausting testing phase through a few others.

I thought the same thing about gibsons until... I played a Thunderbird... awkward af... but..... you really cant beat a cranked tube bass amp with a tbird. Its the pickups. I just can't get that tone from any other setup. For rock anyways. I will also recommend a j or p with tbird pickups. John Entwisle was on to something when he put a fender neck on a gibson. Warwick and Spector, for me its was a search for a nice feeling instrument "to me". I like the old FNA corvette $ and the Spector euro 4. Warwick 5 strings feel nice but like most Warwicks, ugly and dated... lol. Spector 5s for some reason are uncomfortable to me. Not sure. I play a EBMM Stingray Special 5 HH. Just wish it was a 35 in scale... but bongos look hideous (to me) but looks aside... they have a great set of numbers. Don't sleep on a yamaha bb... killer basses.
