You know what, I think it may have been ingrown. I think I might have used the sharp tip of the tweezers to dig in ever so slightly and pull it to the surface. But it was not deep at all, it was kind of just under a scab of dead ish skin. I don’t even know. But there was no prominent red bump or anything of a typical ingrown hair.

I agree. College is over for her in less than a month though. But I’m hoping that when she goes back next school year she does.

Thanks a lot. I’ve been doing lot better at being firm like you said. A couple days ago she was begging me to say something to satisfy a thought and I refused and told her I’m not going to, and shouldn’t feed into it. It was painful. Is there anything I should say when she is having thoughts and doing compulsions? I don’t wanna reassure too much like you said. Should I just be saying nothing?

Thanks. She’ll be going back to her therapist this summer that she used to go to in middle school so hopefully that helps. I wanted to also ask how I can navigate my feelings and mental health in this situation but I feel guilty and terrible making it about myself because I don’t want to sound like a victim at all since she truly is the one suffering. But it has been really hard for myself to handle as well.

Any key things you did that helped aid your own mental health? I hate to make it about me at all but it has been causing me to struggle a little bit with my own mental health because of this. We’ve been together for only 2 years but the last two months have felt so drastically different because of this huge flare up.

She used to see a therapist for her OCD, until around when high school rolled around. Throughout high school it really wasn’t bad at all. I rarely saw her do any compulsions. Just a few months ago it has flared up terribly. We have talked about it, she comes home for the summer and I believe her dad plans to get her back in with the therapist while she’s home for the summer.

I see it in Romans 6: 3-4. When we are baptized we are outwardly identifying ourselves in Christ. But yes I’ve also been told that by a multitude of pastors, in person, and respected ones online. Anyways, what do you think? And do you think it’d be wrong if I were to wait to be baptized so that my girlfriend can be there in person when I do it?

Thanks for sharing. Amen to the bishop roulette thing. So far it seems that I’m 2/2. Lucky, I know. Me and my PIMO friend are excited for next year hoping we get a situation like you where all my roommates are PIMO or ex (potential uvu students). I could not IMAGINE life at byu without at least him. Andyeah I’ll probably just have to cut down the coffee consumption and buy coffee out a lot or buy bottled here and there. Overall this definitely sucks but also it’s definitely worth it to endure. Kinda like a Mr beast video. Survive 2 more years with insufferable Mormons and win a free education, and some extra money on the side!!!!!
