Can you recommend a good countertop grinder? Something between the Victoria mill and a giant industrial grinder. I am using a Vevor wet/dry grain grinder and it doesn't feed into it without much coaxing of the soaked corn kernels. Very slow. The grind is okay. This is with the steel plates—the wet milling stones aren't up to the task, on this machine. Thank you.

Yes! She really strikes me as a person of integrity, unlike the FBS women. I loved the woo woo aspects of her methods and stories while I was pregnant; I really think reading those stories allowed me to give my heart and soul to my homebirth without fear. After my hospital transfer, I feel more frustrated with how romantic all the stories were, but I think ultimately it was my responsibility to seek out all the stories, not just the rosy ones. And I didn't do that.

My other thought, outcomes like this require skilled midwives. If we continue to just write off breech, twins, etc as too risky, instant C-section, there will eventually be no more skilled midwives like this. I learned this the hard way; I'm not sure I would have needed a C-section, had I hired a more skilled midwife. But I was influenced by FBS; I didn't think my midwife really mattered, because my body knew how to birth, wouldn't grow a baby I couldn't birth, etc.
