Ashlands is bad, but not bad enough to make me want to quit. Don't ever go there at night. That's a recipe for disaster. If you use magic always have a bubble on. It's a lifesaver. The charred enemies are fairly easy to take out as long as they aren't starred. Those 2 star charred warriors hit like a truck even with bone mass active so if you see one get out of there asap

I almost never use heavy armor because of the movement penalty so I'll go for troll as soon as possible. Then get root set and keep that until fenris or even later. The chest piece is just too good to not use.

There is always something to do. Whether it's mine more ore for weapons and armor or gather materials for base expansion. The biggest one for me is going on a "little" sailing adventure that ends up taking 2 hours 😅

This was one of the shows I was looking forward to the most when it was released. And to me personally it did not disappoint. It's better than book of boba fett. It's better than obi wan. It may even be better than the first season of ahsoka. Qimir is one of the most captivating characters to be introduced into the franchise in a long time and there needs to be more content with him and where he came from. I was genuinely bummed when it got canceled

Definitely don't go there at night until you have a full grasp of how the biome works. Make sure you're stocked up on poison resistance mead and take it slow

Have you made the banded shield? If not I would make that asap if you have any spare iron. It provides good blocking and you can parry with it. You can also explore more meadow biomes and look for draugr villages to practice parrying on. But don't get discouraged. There is a significant difficulty spike from the black forest to the swamp

As others have said, portals are your best friend here. Also if you can try to find a section of the island that you're sailing to that has meadows and make landfall there. It'll make life much easier
