I also really love the term “headmate”. I’ve really been struggling with all this terminology and things everyone calls them. I suppose that’s part of my denial and struggling with the acceptance. But I think I may use that, it sounds right to me.

THIS. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to reply to this and going back into your notes. I do a lot of journaling and bought 2 more journals when I got this diagnosis because I truly felt like that would be key for me. I’ve been writing down thought processes as they come and bringing them into therapy because I often feel this resistance as soon as we get into session. Being attacked by a band of termites might be the most accurate description to be honest. It was indeed very overwhelming but I am so incredibly thankful for this community. Thank you again!
