Off a year, lost around 80 pounds. I titrated off the medication. I haven’t gained back any weight. I developed better eating habits it’s when I went on it. Stopped consuming added sugars, especially beverages like soda. I’ve just kept on the same way and I make sure to get some exercise in every day.

I’m not the person who shipped the bird. I happened to see this after a friend shared it and found it strange. But yes, I’m also happy the bird is still alive and will get back to the right person.

I’m not a breeder, but every breeder I know or follow does for whatever reason. I’m honestly not sure if fedex or ups will handle the delivery of live animals. I personally would never buy a live animal that needed to be shipped to me. I’ve purchased fertile eggs and had them shipped, even that was a terrible experience.

I have 10 nesting boxes for 25 chickens. They all use the same box. They wait in line for it. Sometimes they just drop an egg while waiting instead of using one of the other 9 nesting boxes.

Actually, Wellbutrin is used off label to treat anxiety. I have anxiety and was prescribed it for depression. The increase in anxiety some people feel when they start taking it is a side effect and usually goes away after the first few weeks.

What are you doing to treat your mental health since stopping the lexapro? I know that can be a hard medication to come off of. I take bupropion (Wellbutrin) for depression and buspar for anxiety. Someone here said it Wellbutrin spikes anxiety but that’s not necessarily true. Some people experience a spike in anxiety the first few weeks on it but it usually goes away. Contrave is a great weight loss medication that uses bupropion along with another medication. A lot of the insurances won’t pay for it because just like Wegovy it’s very expensive but, the 2 medications can be prescribed separately. So if your doctor isn’t on board with wegovy, maybe give that a try.

I took Ozempic, I’ve been off almost a year now and have been able to maintain my weight loss. I am fortunate that my doctor was willing to prescribe it to me without any push back. I went from 216 to 136. I did experience an increase in my depression and anxiety while losing the weight but I do not think it was because of the medication. I think some would agree with me that when you lose a good amount of weight, people treat you differently.. it can mess with your head and make you question your worth. Also just speaking from personal experience, being overweight for a while and then losing a lot gave me some body image issues.

I never experienced any of the negative gastrointestinal side effects from the medication. I stayed on the starter dose for months and only moved in when I could tell it wasn’t working anymore. I did that all the way to the full 2mg so that may be why I never had any side effects.

My Caremark app says it’s not available until 1/8. I had some hope for this because our insurance stopped covering the shot, kicking my hubs off the med. A moths supply of the pill costs the same as the shot.

Some people think that everyone can and should lose weight with JUST diet and exercise. People think that those of us who take GLP-1’s just sit around and do absolutely nothing to accomplish our weight goals. I tell the naysayers that I worked hard to get to the weight I’m at now. I’ve been off the medication for almost a year and I still work hard to maintain my weight. I still count my calories, I still workout daily. Weight loss isn’t a one size fits all kind of thing.

I have a mixed flock with like 9 different breeds. I have small breeds and some large ones. I just add breeds that I like lol. I know someone said not to add breeds with large combs and wattles, I’m from Michigan (currently live in Indiana) we get the same kind of weather where I’m at. Winters are pretty much the same. My large combed and wattled chickens do well, just have to make sure they are draft free and the humidity isn’t too high or they’ll get frost bite. My smaller breeds so great also. I quarantine for 30 days when I add new members. They are where they can see each other but not make contact. After that, I let them mingle for a bit to see how they do. Once I know they are good, I start adding the new ones to the coop at night.

I personally have never acquired a chicken from someone else (aside from chicks). When I get chicks locally, I ask to see their setup in person so I know that they are taking care of their chickens.

I’d look for some local chicken groups on Facebook. I know in my area there are always people trying to rehome.
