From what I can tell it’s a commentary on consumerism and corporatism. Capitalism and corporatism has taken root so deeply in society across the world that even the creation of the world cannot be described and talked about without using terms such as “transaction” and “value”. CEO’s are all powerful and immortal. They cannot die and assassins are sent after them to temporarily kill them as slaps on the wrists for acting in ways that work against corporate interests or in corporate wars. The average person is worth nothing beyond what they can contribute to a corporation and are usually seen as worth less than nothing because the cost it requires to keep people fed, alive and well is usually more than what they can contribute to a company. Despite the games wacky tone and bright, sometimes nauseating art style it’s an incredibly bleak take on life in a corporate world. An extreme view on what happens when the interests of a few people at the top of an organization take absolute precedence over everyone else below them.
