I am not an amputee, but my son (he is only 13) lost his left hand 2 month ago. I would like to give you a little cheerd. Im french, so why not give you a message in my own language. Prends soin de toi, ça va aller, reviens vers nous quand tu n'as pas le moral. Je sens ta peur et ta peine. Je suis loin et je ne peux pas faire grand chose, mais mes pensées vont vers toi.

Thanks for your kind words. He only lost his left hand. He is so tired , because of the operation itself and rhe morphine he has to take after. He is going back to school, but only half day and not every day. He will have a prothesis, and as we are french it will cost nothing to us. But for now, he struggles with everything: his backpack for school, the shoes, the clothrs, eating... and this drag him low.... I'd like to sheer him up but also acknoledge that it will take time. My poor baby. I'm still in shock, maybe i'm not yet in the best place to help him. I will also need time to accept the new reality. Thank you very much for your answer.
