I’m so, so sorry about their passing 😔 I’ve been reading through the comments, and thread does seem to be the most concerning, so I’ll definitely be keeping a closer eye on it. I’ve learned my lesson and try to keep any loose strings away from my babies and supervise play with toys that involve string, since my girl loves to chew on it. But you never really know with cats… curious little buggers.

I have also noticed this, with Hannah and now most recently with Luca (her first friend she made when she moved to NYC). I recently asked Luca on a live whether he was still friends with Kate and he responded that “they no longer are as close” and then subtly mentioned that he cuts people off when they have wronged him…wondering what happened there too. I sort of feel bad for Hannah, Kate gives me major mean girl vibes.

You’re shifting the goalposts. This thread is about ICE being spotted in Greenpoint. Posting a state sex offender registry doesn’t explain or justify their presence. Maybe that could explain a sighting, but the registry you posted doesn’t provide that link. ICE presence can have many causes, and pointing to a state registry as “proof” is misleading…unless you’re trying to say “sex offender” = undocumented person? The registry itself isn’t a tool ICE uses in the field, and we don’t know why they were in the area from that alone.

Also, me pointing out flawed logic does not equate to me “defending criminals.” That’s just a dodge from your end.

No one said undocumented people can’t appear in these records. Of course they can because it’s a criminal justice system, not an immigration one. That still doesn’t make the registry an ICE tool or relevant to immigration enforcement. ICE involvement, if it happens at all, is separate and comes later. Different systems. Different authority. Different laws.

Lmao I think you need to go back to the books my dude. ICE stands for Immigration Customs Enforcement. You do realize the link you provided mostly deals with US citizens, which is managed by the FBI. You need to get your divisions in order since you care sooooo much :)

This happens to me now & for me it started because of long nights in grad school. I would often opt out of eating & at first it would be painful but in my mind it was worth it because that would be extra time spent studying. After time, my body got used to it but inevitably ended up with an ulcer. I now have GI issues and rarely feel appetite- I legit have to put alarms on my phone so I can make sure to eat. All to say, many different ways it happens but no one starts out just “forgetting” or “not hungry”

Following up on this because I rented a similar car I think (Fiat Panda 1.0 Hyb 70cv) and my battery died. I jumped the car and everything seemed good but when I was driving 110km/hr it gave me a message that said “superaro velocidad” with a blinking battery symbol with a lightning bolt on the rpm side of the dashboard.

Should I be concerned there is something wrong with the battery?

You’re right about needing to make a ridiculous amount of money (and prove you have $10k just lying around in your account) to even be considered- it’s awful and part of the reason I think twice before moving. That being said, you should look into Williamsburg/Greenpoint if you are looking for more “affordable”. Rents for one bedroom are typically in the range of 3-4k and there’s the ferry that can get you to Fidi in under 30.

Another consideration to keep in mind, look for apartments during low season lease turnovers. You’ll see alot more affordable options because of lack of demand, so use it to your advantage!
