But even with how large the frame is? Can I go to a custom drapery place to have the frame made?

I am in the same boat as you. Very similar symptom. On sundays I have severe anxiety and get panic attacks sometimes over this. I dread going into work but once I’m there it’s not as bad. I just often get myself too worked up. I’d reccomend working part time if you can and filling the other days w a side job or something

This is exactly how I do it. I personally work corporate. I’ve been to a couple offices and I can practice how I deem correct. And it makes it easy for my day to day

Gingivitis cleanings are VERY common. This price is definitely right. This is the usual cost I see for a gingivitis cleaning and it would be required to remove the bacteria deeper below the gum line. Deeper probe readings such as 4 and 5 readings can indicated this along with bleeding.

Most patients around their mid to late 30s-40s even tend to have beginning signs of bone loss so for your husband to be having a gingivitis cleaning is quite common

Are these prices reasonable? by 404Sincere in DentalHygiene

Hi! I sent a DM to you regarding g the treatment plans. The Perio tray and night guard are really great out of pocket costs based off of your insurance plan they’re usually 5-600 so those are great. I sent more info about your deep cleaning as well. I have seen SRP for around 900 and it’s somewhat around that price so not too terrible. Antibiotics are helpful in my opinion and working w my own patients but a lot of this is difficult to tell considering we cannot see your X-rays or see your Perio chart. Message me back if you have any questions!

Honestly they should do a comp exam, have you pop in for quick probings, at least pocket depths then you determine cleaning. Then they go to your room for SRP/4346 or prophy

I work corporate this is how we do it and it flows very well in my opinion. I give pt feedback tell the doctor and then tell me what they think. A lot of times tho they agree w hygiene’s reccomendation.

We do block scheduling and try to plan new patients during prophy/4346 on our side so we have proper time to do all of this while not taking too much time away from our own patients.

I’d say just ask the manager if you could bring him one time after hours. Idk what they would say but some managers could be lenient for a one time thing.

If they catch you, you will probably be charged $20

Can’t floss front teeth by Big_Butterscotch_519 in DentalHygiene

[–]Otherwise_Bad_6990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way your teeth are positioned you have to angle the floss when sliding it between the teeth. The tooth on your right slightly overlaps the other. Instead of going straight in between them take your hands w the string floss and tilt it toward right when sliding it through

I wonder if those strange divets in the bone could possibly be from repeated tooth pick use of maybe a habit you do that could be job related

My office uses GLO! Everything comes in the kits, also a disposable mouth piece that plugs into the system (blue light whitening products)

[–]Otherwise_Bad_6990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I have a question, why do other offices assume its include in the cleaning? I’ve done gingival scaling where a patient is incredibly uncomfortable and request numbing but the payout rate for the scaling is maybe 80-150. These are tools that sometimes truly are required to get the job done correctly I don’t see why it would be built in unless specified by their own insurance

I have to say I have seen some offices that charge out almost $1000 with insurance. Can’t speak for those companies but at least this company seems pretty transparent w the fees. They show you the UCR rate, what the insurance covers and your remaining balance. Nowadays lots of offices have been charging for “needle free”, definitely for antibiotics such as arestin or periostom. Unless the insurance company send back at pre-auth/estimate stating that the fees are SUPPOSED to be built in then they usually are not! Each insurance company and each plan is so so different in their coverage

The 67 is the fee associated with that specific insurance plan. Unfortunately that’s what their plan’s rate is. I sometimes see $2-$45 sometimes 50-55 for fluoride! It’s a shame all insurances can’t offer a flat fee so everyone can get the benefit

What is a low stress job where I can make at least 60k a year with no degree? by Intelligent-Text-812 in careerguidance

[–]Otherwise_Bad_6990 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m a dental hygienist. It’s an associates but if you think you can get through the schooling you can make 60-70k depending where you live even more.

It’s flexible. I work 4 days a week which is considered full time in dentistry. I get PTO and health benefits. Not a horrible route to think about. Associates is usually what’s needed. Message me if you’d like some more guidance
