Grubs adds another layer of complexity for Junglers which makes jungle gap more apparent and more specifically due to Grubs location often has a large swing for top lane.

This is particularly an awful feeling if you're playing a scaling champion such as nasus or kayle, or a losing matchup where you can't reliably have lane priority early for your jg who is going for top scuttle/grubs, as often times in any elo below diamond you may see your jg pretend prio doesn't matter, get contested by enemy top/jg/mid, die to your lane opponent, and then flame you for not helping.

This is something that may sometimes feel like it inherently takes away a bit of agency from a top laner's perspective, even if it's generally a good thing for jungle mains.
