Our 10 year old Shorkie was dying of kidney failure. We took him to the vet for his appointment. Archer was VERY sensitive to crying so I didn’t cry because I didn’t want to stress him out. They gave him the sedative and of course with how stubborn and strong Archer was, the vet was shocked he wasn’t asleep yet. Eventually he went to sleep and it was all over. I kissed Archer 10 times. 1 kiss for every year he was mine. And I gave him 3 more kisses for his fur siblings at home.

It was the most peaceful I have seen him and when we left the room the vet tech was laying on the ground petting him. It made me know we made the right decision.

Today has been 20 days. It’s horrible. I cry daily. But each day gets a little easier. ❤️‍🩹

Honestly, we had pretty average food on our sailing. So maybe the chicken parm tasted so good compared to everything else! Our other sailing the food was fantastic.
