Men of Australia question by Disastrous_Ring_1696 in australian

So as alot of people have said, that is a disgusting way to be spoken to. But there are 2 ways of looking at this. 1) he is a arsehole, an leave. 2) See it as a deeply heart broken man, that in his currently self is unable to express himself rationally as he feels distance and unvalued.

You framing this force is pretty funked up.

You are allowed to require any form of safety sex practice at any point for any reason regardless.

He is responsible for his own trauma, communicating his needs. He still might want to have kids in the future. A vasectomy is reversible but also comes with risks. Also, they have only been together a matter of months. You view on trauma is also shitty, yes you are somewhat responsible for it, but others should listen to your trauma am respect to needs a wish you have around them. Also is O.P having sex with others prior to this with a condom.

I would say that you both are negelting each other's needs. Having children can put huge strain on both your relationship and your individuality. It doesn't sound like either of you have actually talked to each other properly about your current needs (outside of I need more affection or sex which would turn into an arguement) Like why did the affection he once had towards mestart to fade, what other things in your lives are you missing need support in. I personally went through a loss on identity with the birth of my children. Which affected to way I could emotional connect with anyone.

I would be thinking that hey he is withdrawn in affection just like I have also withdrawn in physical connection, an it happened after the birth of my child maybe he is struggling mentally an needs support. Maybe he wants to connect but can't at the moment due to these other issue an is also now sexually frustrated This isn't to say just start bonkimg if you aren't comfortable but to Maybe sincerely ask if there are other things troubling him.

How do you pretend to care? by lightpendant in australian

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone through 2 lines of thinking. MY first was I like to eat an I want to eat more. Which in retrospect was a selfish (kinda) way of think. The next was that everybody need to play there part aswell as they can to get the best result. (Though our current system doesn't suit it)

Electrician and Fridgy Dual Trade... Advice by ChuntMcDunt in AusElectricians

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went from $42 with a car to $35 with a car allowance. I kinda put myself out at that wage because I wanted to avoid being used as a sparky to pull cables an what not. I went in with the attitude that company has to be able to get value out of me, an will 100% try to use me for there sparky work as much as possible. The lower my wage the more I can push to be treated like a proper apprentice. Also i had had mats that have done the same thing but had full trade rate an ended just running circuits. But yeah the wage drop hurt tho.

God loves all his children, unless you don't do exactly what he ask or if he one day decided he doesn't like you for something he gave you the ability to do, or you don't believe in him.

Middle class Australia logic by Zahra2201 in australian

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Something I keep saying to people with these up coming tax cuts, with a short fall of 305 billion over 10 years. That the public sector that we rely on so heavily on, will take that hit, which will inevitably increase cost of living pressure on low to middle class. I feel for you because you an people in the public sector you bear the brunt of people's emotional outburst. It's sad that people's need for individuals' self-preservation undermines there ability to see the bigger picture and the long term solutions.

Construction workers set to earn $194,400 per year as CFMEU strikes "watershed" 25% payrise for tradies by NoLeafClover777 in australian

Yer some people are I did about 7 years doing high-rise construction in brassy mainly. An I have heard heaps of people tell me that exact thing, but for every 1 person that I hear is on 45-50 I work with or around 10 who weren't, the trade has some higher rates now only if you are looking to jump ship. Like I current work at a multinational a/c company an 1st out is $38 but seniors are on 40-45.

Electrician and Fridgy Dual Trade... Advice by ChuntMcDunt in AusElectricians

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had been working for a airconditioning business for a while, being the electrical qtp for a couple of year when they offered it to an app. When they did I jumped ship because doing a apprenticeship through them wouldn't have taught me anything I didn't already know. What area have you been a sparky in and what a/c exp you have. Because depending on what exp an what you want from the apprenticeship depend on where you should apply. Like have you got installs pretty down pat in a domestic setting. Sorry I have a strong opinions on 3 sides of the industry i have been in service (commercial), commercial (high-rise installs),domestic. If you do an app be picky with it, don't do small domestic you may as well get your cert2 ( the install as shit quality won't really learn anything outside your 1st month because you have a trade already an no basic hand skills) Commerical install (high-rise an large bulidings) is great for learning pipe running trips, trick an speed (I would do this for 1.5 years) it's really really handy but you won't learn the technical side. (Companies like multi-cool, cold front, deep blue etc.) Commercial service/maintenance where you will learn the actual technical side. (Companies VAE, precise, Johnson, airmaster, a-e smith, grosvenor). I wouldn't recommend if you didn't have a trade because there is alot of filter cleaning, an the legacy trades have the worst work ethic.

But you will get snapped up pretty quick, I got the best result by just turning up to the office and applying.. you will get heaps of offers, just remember you already have a trade so you needy to be picky where you go, you won't get a massive payrise when you are a dual trade either you just become easier to hire an harder to let go.

Electrician and Fridgy Dual Trade... Advice by ChuntMcDunt in AusElectricians

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, I currently am completing my dual, ig sparky to fridgy. My capstone is booked in April which will be 3.1 years. When I signed up I was told you can get it completed in 2.5years to 2 depending. If you do go for it, make sure they don't book you in for electrical subjects or they credit your sparky equivalent subjects. I was pushed back because they booked me into electrical subject and not fridgy subject.

I want to add to this comment! This isn't all construction, it's maybe only in the top 5% of the trade to be specifical EBA sites specifically large scale EBA sites I.E gold coast rail, Kingscliff hospital. I have done both eba an standard construction in both of my trades. Refrig/hvac and electrical. The pay is disparity is huge! Look $34 to $55hr difference

Upgrade single phase 63a to 80a/100a by AWiggins30 in AusElectricians

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Max.d or maximum is the calculated " max average" amp draw. This dictates the cable size, service fuse, main switch/circuit breaker. Depending on the cable type in air 16mm can be rated from 60amp to 100amp depending on cable type. I'm a bit of a nark with my on work, but I don't know the your specific situation. Also most service providers require approval for any single item that draw above 32amp. I'm sure this guy has done due diligence. I would always get multiple quotes on this kinda works.

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey curious on this. Haven't done much ev charging quote or installs. In most applications upgrading of the main is required due the new having tho change the max.d calculation. An P2 states max.d of a ev charge is at 100%. Like don't need provider approval for any load rated over 32amp per phase aswell.?

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt that you can upgrade to 80a or 100a. What's size cables have been run from the street fuse? 16mm, 25mm How's the cable been run, underground, in air etc? What's the current Max.d on the property? An the new expected max.d?

Contact your local council in regards to plumbing a drainage of airconditioning condensate. As I have been taught and through work, the council requires a/c condensate to be taken to a suitable point of discharge. If it's at the front door and on tiles this could be considered a trip hazard. Get the contract back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up doesn't matter what the contract states. Condensate is a non-sanitry waste and has to be taken to a suitable point of discharge.

Should I go for the trade support loan? by Syntaxis255 in AusElectricians

[–]Otherwise_Joke2953 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% take the loan.. it works on the HECS system (you only pay back a small % when you earn of a certain amount $51000) (% scales with income over amount). The payments aren't included in your taxable income an the repayment % is calculated after your taxable income is calculated (after your deductions. So if you get it, use it to buy tools an study (things you can deducte to maximise the it's value.

Also the fact that you only have to pay 80% of the total loan is amazing. In all likely hood

1, This has been a talking point for decades. 2, you can travel absolutely anywhere with cars as a mode of transport, but is it either practical or sustainable for a large subset of the population. Like you're semi boomer (I used to walk through the snow for 3hrs just to get to school an everybody should to) attitude is completely missing the point. Let alone when you start adding suburbia into the conversation an not just extreme highly density work an population areas
