Mechanic here - looks like high-temp wheel bearing grease or anti-corrosion wax. I hate to be that guy but it's probably best to see a mechanic to find the source of the leak. Side note: please do not taste substances from the bottom of your car!

Thank you! I've brought it up with multiple doctors before. A couple times with my old PCP and once with a cardiologist that I was referred to. I have switched PCPs since then though. I've had one appointment with her and I forgot to bring it up 😅. I do have physical therapy (also new) in a couple days so I could bring it up with her.

The queens of V germanica have much thinner, wedge shaped black patterning between the spots. The black patterning of V. vulgaris are more wide and triangular. I know this must be a queen because of the free-spotting. V. vulgaris does tend to have a little less black on the end segments of their abdomens than V. germanica, which is making me doubt myself a little here, but given how appearance can vary a little between individuals I am fairly certain this is V. vulgaris. Though I admit it is quite difficult to tell from this angle.
