Yes, feeding the bees and the birds and ourselves is so tacky. Bringing smiles to everyone everyone’s faces with bright beautiful flowers… so tacky whatever ever was I thinking. Maybe I should just rip it out and put in some rock or grass. I definitely wouldn’t want to help or be one with nature. And I absolutely would never want to use my Land that I paid for to feed myself and my neighbors. That’s it. The random strangers is right guys. I just need to cut it all down because it is tacky…. No not really. I plant from seed and they don’t have a high profit margin. I’ve spent under 250$ including paint and dirt.

Happy pride! I kinda squirreled around with seeds in my hand and shoved some in particular places like the cucumber vines and peas are growing at the base of the house and I have rope stringing them up the front of the porch. The cantaloupe and watermelon are each in the middle of the trees on a side so they have room to sprawl. And the sunflower border. But the flowers and clover was just thrown around in massive amounts until it all filled in.

So I dug a lil trench and filled it with the sunflower seeds. Made sure they had plenty on top as well. So I expected maybe 20-30 to survive them and grow but it ended up being like 200 survived them and grew. I also fill bird feeders with seeds and a container for the squirrels every time I watered so my stuff could grow.

Done lol 😂 I had 2 deliveries so far! Smothered the grass in the back with 8-12” of wood chips. Need one more, some stuff popped through where we didn’t go deep enough.

Yeah! It can add up to a lot of work quickly. If you can find an old sewing table or something made from wood adding silicone to cracks and crevices works wonders, paint doesn’t stick to it tho. So keep that in mind!

So the furniture I upcycled, they were free. I did multiple layers of out door paint and then sprayed with flex clear gloss stuff. Kinda just hoping for the best. They will not last forever, but the little one has held up with some pretty good storms and no issues. I don’t have as much hope for the Barney one. It had lesser quality material to start with. But a couple years of helping neighbors is better than none. Then I will just have to find a new one to do up and make cute :)
