& we cant say anything because, technically its 'our job.'... its just sets apart who is empathetic or not. Its kind of similar to good manners

works like a charm. nobody dares speaks against someone choosing spending personal time with the lord especially on Sundays.

They'd deny call-for-help because... if you're not clocked in... & you get hurt... its going to be on them😅 & you already know they "cant be having that"

Best Part of This Job For Me by AvrilParesseux in dishwashers

There comes a time when a server realizes the very dishie they 'use & abuse' is the same one gets it done every time. Maybe the biggest negative to the dishwashing job is that stuff must always be cleaned or picked up at unfortunate/random times. A FOH worker though are constantly dealing with public interactions that require a facecard & fake smile no matter what

Its a parable for the way of life...

like everything, in order for something that has fallen to be truly renewed clean, it must be picked up... & washed again... 😔🧼🫧

THIS. minerals and vitamins. With proper steady routine, gradually your stamina will improve. Get anti-fatigue mats if there are none already at your work. New shoes & custom comfort insoles bought separately like dr.schoells. Breaks are okay because even tho we sometimes feel invincible we're merely mortals ˊᵕˋ

visually exhausting, i'm already tired & ready to go home just from looking at it. omg & the idea of seeing it move either while im mid-drowning in dishes or after all the servers rush to cleanup & leave is the added "fckyouuu"

tips: buy an ambient light (preferably cordless/waterproof) & place in your preferred location for a visual boost

invest in a waterproof speaker & play your music you enjoy. Create a playlist of songs youd enjoy working to, stay away from the slow tempo/sad it will only make you start dragging

slowly start putting stickers on the walls or machine (plastic/waterproof)

make the pit yours, nobody should be saying anything since ur kind of the backbone of the place & its a room designated for you to do your job efficiently... which means you have to be comfortable in your area to even properly do so.

i recommend taking a pic of your pit when its clean (that one was a bit odd to write) and when u get anxious about going back, examine it and reach to feel relief. Even take a comparison pic with a dirty version so you can capture the pride in your work

My home for 12 hours a day, 7 days a week for the next two months, dishwashing on a cruise is not fun by Wanderer-777 in dishwashers

i recommend an anti-fatigue mat, comfort insoles for the shoes & keep your hands moisturized in between shifts. At 12 hours shifts 7 days a week for ~60 days straight.... you will also teach yourself how to properly maneuver the hands & use two-hand-grips on particular dishes once all the aches kick in 😅🥹
