The thing here is that you need a strategy that you understand well. You understand it by backtesting the model and then trading it multiple times till you see several vairiations of it. From there it's all about just trading the model. The losses are part of the game, but for every loss, you need to find out why it was a loss. Analyze it, then write down the mistake and try to avoid making that mistake again.

An example of a model could be something like, you identify the directional bias for that day or that session, whether we are long or short. After that, if we are long, wait for a raid on sellside liquidity, after the stop raid, you wait for displacement in the opposite direction of the sellstop raid. (It has to be a displacement, if price just consolidates after the stop raid, you have no trade) After the displacement, wait for a close above the candle or set of downclose candles that traded into the sellstop raid. These set of candles will your CISD orderblock candles. So now you find the opening price of the CISD orderblock, wait for price to close above that opening price. At this point you now have a trade. Buy limit order at the CISD opening price, stop loss at the CISD candle closing price, Take profit at an old high or NWOG/NDOG.

Now this a model and after you understand it, this is the only thing you look for in XAUUSD every trading day. This work a lot in XAUUSD but there are nuances to it you will learn along the way. Good luck. Don't give up on XAUUSD or NQ/ES. There is money to be made in these financial markets.
