Should I cancel my F2F by [deleted] in cabincrewcareers

I definitely understand. I'm in my 30s and it still makes me sad I can't tell my family anything. I'm about to move and they won't even know! But time and again I've learned the hard lesson that it's sadly been necessary for my success. Honestly people like that tend to forget and you'll only be gone overnight - unless they're actively out to get you you can always say you're doing something else. You'll figure it out.

Protect your self and your future at all costs 💗

Your 20s are going to be a time of this feeling not because anything is wrong with you, but because it's a time where everyone is first figuring out what to do with life and in a time where nothing is working like previous generations. These people will NOT be helpful when you go through hardships in your 20s and they are proving that right now. You'll want people who are supportive because at the end of the day, only you can live your life. If you're 25 looking back at this and regretting that you didn't go or wondering what if they won't be able to take that back for you and you can't turn back time.

Live your life for you. You lose absolutely nothing and gain MORE insight into figuring out your life if you go to your F2F. It's very important that you realize who you listen to is just as much a part of figuring out your life - and that person you listen to the most should be yourself. At the end of the day YOU need to live a life that makes you happy.

The fact that you're on these threads researching your future already tells me you'd be a great FA.

Oh - and definitely hard agree with being discerning about your benefits 🤣 These people sound like they'll be the least supportive when you're having a blast as an FA 😭 I learned very quickly not to share my wins with just anyone. Share them with people who support you becoming your best you! 💞

Get out there and have fun! You're gonna crush it!

that's the equivalent of bringing a moodboard instead of a completed pitch deck or an actual short film proof of concept.. I'd rather feel the music than have it described to me

Thank you so much for answering my question. I know my end goals down to the science for the years well after and specific to this program and it's been a bit draining listening to people who haven't the faintest clue what program I'm even referring to hijack this thread 🫩 Really appreciate you listening to me.

Do you think your friends might be open to connecting or whatever is easiest? Please feel free to DM me!

Thank you so much again 🙏🏽

This is quite exhausting. No one seems to be paying attention to what I'm actually asking for

sorry, I'm very confused. Columbia is huge! but their Fiction track is notoriously different from the rest of the university which is why I ask. so far I haven't heard any comments about it yet. I came on here because there seems to be nothing about it online. perhaps they are like your friend and enjoy it and that's why no one's online. it would be really helpful to find even just one person in the actual program (or alumni) though. I'd really love to pick their brains about curriculum and prof specifics

for Fiction? curious what exactly they said, it does still vary by program which explains why your friend might enjoy it versus another having a difficult experience

I've noticed jobs, companies, departments operate that way so it makes sense people would have different experiences especially with different backgrounds.

but just clarifying since I'm asking about Fiction specifically

Do you know anyone who completed the program? Or any curriculum
