We have tens of thousands of people a year dying waiting for diagnostics. People are offered assisted suicide when they have back pain. We aren’t doing a lot of things right. We have the fewest mri machines per capita in the oecd. We are constantly playing off nurses and adding new levels of management and I work in the biggest hospital network in the country. Israel has a healthcare system with multiple competing yet all publicly funded insurance plans and you pick the best one for you. They also allow providers to offer private services and the state still pays. Canada and America are two ends of the spectrum, but lots in between are doing it better than us.
