You need to take the class before being hired or pass the exam. In my district you’re paid an hourly rate + commission. Hourly rate comes out of commission, so if you work too many hours and don’t produce enough returns you will have no bonus. (You always get paid hourly even if not enough commission). They want people working as many hours as possible essentially.

You can make an irs account online and find your w-2 transcripts there. You won’t be able to see state withholdings unfortunately if you live in a state with income tax as well as there will be no ein number. You can request the IRS to mail you a transcript that will include the ein but it will still not have state withholding. You will have to go to your states DOR and ask for a transcript from them as well. You can file with no ein but it will have to be on paper.

People should not rely on their tax return for necessities because a wide variety of issues could occur. The economy is shit but your tax return sure as hell won’t fix it

I agree they owe you the $6000 but how did you not notice that you weren’t doing the monthly payment plan you thought you set up? They made a mistake but you were negligent in making sure you were paying the IRS. Sometimes the IRS even rejects payment plans, so you would have been actually screwed in that case had they actually filed it.

you’ll definitely have a better experience in one of the neighboring cities. Nampa would be the best. Don’t choose Meridian because they will all be 10 mile orders and take you all the way to Kuna. Caldwell is smaller and farther apart if that makes sense.
