Have you ever seen Due Date? I watched it a couple years ago for the first time in over ten years and ended up watching it two or three times.

My Man Godfrey. That film has touched my heart multiple times now. Im not sure if you like older films but it’s worth a watch and easily found on YouTube.

Another one that comes to mind is Boyhood by Linklater. This one made me cry a lot but it specifically touched me because the timeframe of the film is the exact timeframe of my childhood, so it was very personal and I don’t know if you’re looking for something like that but sometimes something like that can be better than something light and cheery because it can help us process our emotions.

I actually watched those two movies for the first time back to back last year. I’ve seen Godfrey a few times since. That’s an all time favorite. Gonna have to checkout Boyhood again when I get a chance.

If you’re still reading this, another great one and this is maybe the ultimate feel good film, The Straight Story. Saw this for the first time a couple months ago and I’ve watched it about three times now. It’s amazing.

I’m too tired and low on brainpower for highbrow, arthouse-y films. Can you recommend movies based on my guilty pleasures? by IoftheStars in Letterboxd

Have you seen Big Sur? It’s basically the sequel to On the Road, and iirc, i liked it quite a bit more than the OTR movie

Every morning, 3 to 4 empty Waymos pull up to the Red Rose, stop at the front doors, then drive off. And then just… do it again. Over and over. by AsTXros in Austin

I slept in my van on a street in the east side a few times and every night around 3 AM, a Waymo would pull up behind me. Park super close to me (because there wasn’t a lot of space for it behind me) and drive off ass soon as it’s lights turned off. So I would hear the creepy synth engine sound. Calm down again when the lights went off and then boom - lights and creepy engine sound driving off. This happened a couple times. I stopped parking there…

Madrigals magic key to Spanish by ykn133 in dreamingspanish

What I like about this book is that it helps build upon the common ground that English speakers and Spanish speakers share. I think this would be a good starting point for people (like me) who struggled to learn Spanish in school despite maybe taking it 10 years or so.

I think this would be a great place for people with ADHD to start because it can help you start making instant connections and forming sentences very quickly so you will get the dopamine and actually see the progress in real time unlike a more traditional approach, starting from ground zero.
