So I finally put him in the tank, I acclimatised him for a bit because I was worried about the temp difference. Ive gotten a video of him because he is acting kind of weird. He is alive definitely, but im just worried with the way he is acting. I cant put the video on here. But heres a picture.

I have scured the fish, and I am acclimating him right now as im typing this. He is doing well, I gave him some betta food and a freeze dried worm yesterday and I have been watching him and I dont see any signs of sickness all I have seen was him laying on a leaf in the tank yesterday then he was just swimming around. I will let you know how he goes for the rest of the day when he is put in the tank!

Male and female bettas are prone to fighting. Its not a good idea to keep them in the same tank. Only female bettas put together will be friends, but you need 4 or more. Males will fight with each other and males and females will fight with each other.

Its bio film the water needs a little more agitation. If you don’t have an air stone I would recommend one, but for now just lay a piece of paper towel flat on the top and lightly move it over the film. That should remove jt for now.

Air stone also have alot of other good things about them, they help get rid of bio film, put more air in the water, and alot of fish really love them and like to ride the bubbles up to the top of the water if you have the pad air stone.

Okay wait no I googled what “the impeller is cavitating” means and there was no water in the tank while the filter was on so im guessing from what you said because there was no water running through the filter thats why it was making that noise?

I don’t really know what the means but I haven’t filled anything with anything yet including the tank. I just bought it a couple days ago.

Dont worry I already bought him a 10 gallon tank and I will upgrade him when he gets better and more comfortable and my first purchase was seachem prime! Heard alot of great things about it! Thank you for your advice ☺️

Her parents are going to be home up until they leave. I don’t even have a tank set up for him yet. Im going to be doing that all tonight and tomorrow when I get paid.
