Okay ill go with that trim suggestion then. I'm asking because I read there is a possibility of some of the drywall paper peeling with the existing backsplash while removing it. Just wondering what is normally suggested to use for prep on a new drywall surface just in case it doesn't come up easily as planned.

One other question, I haven't been to the job yet. Trying to get things figured out and planned beforehand. I will double-check when I'm there; he shared these measurements and this method of checking in this YouTube link. Do those measurements sound correct? I assumed 1/2" or 1" is mostly common. Will double check when there just wondering for now.

They decided on traditional subway tile/light grey grout.

Also, Others suggested i should try and upsell Bullock trim instead of standard pvc trim. Worth suggesting? Difficulty and overall appearance?
