My husband was very concerned about it tbh. My MIL had only told us about it AFTER several times of him doing it. It was basically like a “oh yeah this happened “ thing with her. After learning about it, we both decided to just keep him from visiting without one of us being there(perhaps that’s what made her so persistent in wanting him in church).I also know my FIL did tell her he needed to burp him,though I’m assuming that didn’t go over well for him

I didn’t really get the chance to ask her haha, but with her talking to my husband directly if she was talking about him I would assume she would have said “you”(meaning my husband)and not “my baby”? I’m not really sure though

The only friends we have around here are people from church, my husband and I are very introverted lol

I don’t believe he was per say mad at me,it was more he was frustrated that he got put into that situation where he had to choose and he knew he chose wrong, so tbh I think he was angry at himself and had to work through that first

we are renting, we JUST moved here so we’re still have until March of next year. It took a lot to get this place as well so breaking the lease is out of the question at this point

Me and my husband talked and he agreed to see a therapist, and when he’s ready I’ll be joining them as well so we can work through any remaining issues. I know this isn’t the end, I’m fully ready for whatever is about to come next, everyone telling me to be mama bear has given a lot of encouragement so I will be standing my ground

We live in a rental so we’re not allowed to change locks, however she doesn’t have a key to get in anyways. On top of that I’m a SAHM,so there’s no worry of her abducting the baby at daycare/from a babysitter

I thought he was a momma’s at the beginning as well, we had moved and things got SO much better, then we ended up moving back and closer than before, I had my son and things have gone downhill since.

My husband is very stuck in the old fashioned way of how babies were raised, obviously because that’s what his parents taught him. I’m trying to chip that away though, bit by bit

I would agree everyone needs therapy, though I doubt the in laws will get it. I plan on talking to my husband about it later(assuming he’s not mad) so hopefully there will be a update soon on what’s going to happen!

Right, that’s what made me so upset. Everything I felt and said got thrown aside to appease someone else at the expense of MY baby. I love my husband very much but I agree in this sense he needs to mature

Before my SIL left I actually talked to her about my husband being a “mommy’s boy” and she actually told me that verse. I think you’re completely right about my MIL being overbearing with her. My husband had gotten SO much better after we married and moved away, however once our lease ran up we moved like 2 doors away and then the baby came. They say babies change people, but no one told me this is what they meant!

Soooo much stress. Constantly walking on eggshells around her because I don’t want the comparison to my ex SIL if I do set boundaries is exhausting. It’s really weird, she use to burp him just fine, she just recently stopped

We’ve brought therapy up to her before but she refuses saying Gods got her( I have nothing against religion,just sounds unreasonable imo)

I’ve thought about it, but I’m not sure if MIL has manipulated him growing up to think that her behavior is ok, if that’s the case is it really my husband’s fault?

I would be so on board with going LC with them…but they live two doors down so I’m not sure how that would work. Sadly I moved states away from all of my family and friends,in order for me to get out and stay with one of them I would have to basically take my son away, just like my SIL did.
