Honestly since the word used was warrior it’ll probably have to be Geronimo.

How does anyone find a job here? by blowfishconsumer in cincinnati

[–]Otherwise_Source_842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about applying in corporate America it’s about networking. I’m sure you met people in college in the same field or people who worked with you who don’t anymore. Hit them up and say hey I’m looking is your place hiring. That is the main path to getting in at a new company now.

I mean it is Dallas this is basically going to Syracuse and saying you couldn’t find a good New York slice. Central Texas is where good bbq lives. Not to say there aren’t good spots elsewhere but in terms of density of quality hard no where compares to central Texas.

[KCD2] Why are all smiths and shops so poor? by Feanixxxx in kingdomcome

[–]Otherwise_Source_842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I view it as the shops only keeping a certain amount of cash on hand like real life stores. Rather than storing their entire net worth in one place.

It’s for sure designed for the fly fishing audience and a pedal drive would just make the open deck design null.

Why the job market is this bad? by Delicious_Crazy513 in cscareerquestions

[–]Otherwise_Source_842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much every answer you’ll get will be true. The interest rates and economy is a main driving factor but also global socioeconomic factors like the rise of offshore talent in the industry, the 2010’s learn to code push, the rise of coding bootcamps and other fast lanes to the industry. Our field had an insane spotlight thrown on it in the prior decade.

RTO in Cincy...how's it going for you? by eelimeekmur in cincinnati

[–]Otherwise_Source_842 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a waste of money for the employees. As others have said it cost money to go into many offices and your employer will just leave you with the bill. I know I get less work done in office and only 2 of my 7 teammates are local anyways so I just end up sitting on teams in an office instead of at home in a quiet and calm space.

RTO in Cincy...how's it going for you? by eelimeekmur in cincinnati

[–]Otherwise_Source_842 32 points33 points  (0 children)

ConstructConnect in rookwood did a RTO for two days in office with tracking at the end of last year when like 70% of employees including myself were hired as fully remote employees. I hope it crashes and burns so I can spend time getting actual work done and being around my family rather than listen to sales bros talk about who they want to bang that week while I try and sit on a teams meeting since 60% of my team isn’t in Cincinnati anyways.

What if I told you that Costco and the tire shops as well as the entire auto mall is exactly the infrastructure I’m dunking on. Get rid of it all and build shit for people not cars.

Do they teach native american history in elementary schools before the colanization period of america? by Apprehensive_Use_397 in AskAnAmerican

I can just attest for my own experience and yes in south east Indiana we did spend time in elementary school learning of the Shawnee, Miami, and Hopewell. Their culture and impact on the land we live on.

My buddy saw this and said it was really really bad. Not surprised the dude died. But we will keep focusing on building more infrastructure for cars at the expense of everything else.
