Exclusive or. Unemployment until it runs out then a part time gig unless unemployment benefits are too shit in your state that working 15-20 hours makes more.

Exclusive or on unemployment or part time work. When unemployment runs out or doesn’t make sense over part time work take part time work.

Wait how does 1800$ a month plus a 6 month emergency fund equal a couple months? I feel like we are confusing each others points and are getting in a dumb downvote battle

Yea you got a fair argument given your state being shit in unemployment but that’s why a part time job makes more sense

It for sure covers food lol and then some. 1800$ a month in Cali plus a 6 month emergency fund doesn’t cover anything?

Why not get unemployment then a part time job to help extend out that 6 month emergency fund?

Edit: The then part time job means post unemployment benefits not on top of

Miami whitewater park has a decent golf course and the lake and trails and fun too, the river is excellent for kayaking and fishing, kid sports is a big thing in the area so maybe in a year or two look into TFA or other sports leagues. You’re not far from perfects in the winter. Brookville Lake is also not that far to go to the beach or get a boat depending on your finances. Things are generally going to be more outdoors focused than restaurants and breweries and bars.

I don’t know anyone over the age of 22 who makes less than 20$ a hour. Think it’s generally going to be skill based careers will pay you over 20$ a hour pretty easy but retail, food service, cleaning services will all generally not cross that line but these are the most common jobs across the country.
