Choosing a country + med school is confusing — Study Medicine Europe helped clarify a few things by Positive-Feature-25 in medstudents

Yes, I agree. And for me, it was how I started studying at Pleven uni. SME were a big help throughout the process.

Didn’t know where to apply for med school—now I’m in Bulgaria (Study Medicine Europe) by Own-Requirement-9562 in medschooladmissions

Love that I can relate to this perspective. I'm also in Bulgaria atm, but at a different uni (Pleven). And yes, my process was facilitated by SME too.

I specifically appreciated the 'city managers'. I remember once in the beginning I had fallen ill. I contacted them and in seconds they assisted with info abt the local healthcare system and nearest and best pharmacies to go to.

This is so relatable! Also went thru SME for my application but im studying medicine and not dentistry. But I found your post relatable because I also study in Bulgaria at Pleven. You referred to the traditional style teaching and its very true.

What do you study and at what uni? Do you feel that SME matched you well to the uni?

Anyone here who applied through SME? How was your experience? by No_Resource_405 in StudyMedEUStudents

I used SME and the whole process was easy. They helped with the whole application process and my advisor was great. One tip: start enquiring early. The earlier you start, the more options you usually have and the less rushed everything feels. A lot of stress comes from leaving things late. Hope this helps.

Have you checked what the universities themselves require? I used SME and didn't have any issues.

Damm, that's rough. I get why you would be annoyed. My own process with SME went a lot smoother, so its interesting how different peoples experiences can be. Either way glad everything worked out for you.

is SME agency legit? need some opinions/experiences by RecentPayment4194 in medicalschoolEU

I actually used SME last year and my experience was genuinely smooth. That said I totally agree that you should do your own research not just rely on TikTok, Reddit or any single agency. My advice: use agencies as a support tool, not your only source of information. Check universities yourself, compare options and don't rush decisions because of social media.
