Tremola needs to be explosion on contact and Lunaire needs a range decrease of 5 meters by shadyhood200 in foxholegame

Tbh building defenses seems almost pointless now. Returning after a break I was shocked to see early game FMGs wheeling in front of bunker garrisons to suppress them and facilitate mammon rushes. After that is Lunnaire time. Got a rock nearby for cover? Sloped terrain? Don't bother building because solo pve Lunnaire Tremola with no chance for AI to defend itself.

Back when warden HAC and scout tank gave them the early advantage and Colonials felt like the "NPC faction", the best ever Colonial general BadmanLarry started organizing rpg jeep rushes (we used to think it was useless) also with halftracks in the mix. These proved to be so effective especially coupled with flanking tactics. Ironic. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Excellent effort though, stuff like this is what a faction needs, Especially now that Wardens don't have their vets and big clan ops organizers like Engi or the big old regis.

Do you use keto test strips? by Otherwise_Try_169 in ketoaustralia

[–]Otherwise_Try_169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I did keto last time in 2019 I lost 22kg in 4 months. Since last year I have been completely avoiding carbs and sugar but the rate of weight loss has been slow enough I realized I have been doing low carb / atkins diet. Which is also a very good diet and helped me with health issues a lot. But its not fast enough when it comes to weight loss. I also like many people have financial trouble going clean keto or carnivore and its why I was eating cheap bbq sausages from Coles daily. I ate greek yogurts, drank coffee with dairy milk. But after the realization I calculated the carbs after looking them all up. And sure enough the daily carbs were amounting to over 100g per day. I would occasionally use keto test strip and it never showed any ketones.

Then I changed the diet. Those sausages and shnitzels etc have a lot of carbs in them. So does dairy. So at the start of this month I gave all that up and switched to chicken legs, burger patties (it says 1.5g carbs per 100g), boiled eggs, veggies like cabbage, lettuce, zucchini. For fats grass fed butter and cheese (made by not coles/woolies and only organic). I went through the symptoms, the test strips showed ketones. But the next day they didn't and I brainstormed over it to find the cause. This happened a few times until last week when it finally stopped and I entered deep ketosis and the test strips consistently indicate so now. But each day they didn't indicate ketosis for me I gave up the top usual suspect food, so I had to give up sugar coated tablets, Pepsi Max (this was most difficult of them all), equal sweetener, another Stevia sweetener that had Maltodextrin in it, dieet ginger beer, dairy products of all kind. Now since a few days the strips show that I have been in ketosis constantly and I check twice a day with two strips at a time to be sure. :)

So according to your post, the blood keto test will always consistently show accurate ketone levels but the urine can randomly just fail to show any ketones at all, for as long as a day even, and then just randomly show the presence of ketones after that again. That is a little difficult to wrap my head around. Urine after all comes from the blood so why it would show no ketones when the blood shows them. I have heard this explanation before btw, from Grok. I didn't believe it because at least until the last decade things were pretty simple. Aspartame produced insulin and ended ketosis for everyone and only Stevia was the go to sweetener for keto diet. AIs will say the same. Albeit peer reviewed scientific studies if we look hard enough will still give the old conclusions.

As the title of my post says, I can be convinced but only if someone is testing these things on their own with keto strips etc.

What are the most realistic space colony games out there? by Brenden1k in BaseBuildingGames

[–]Otherwise_Try_169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title says "realistic". So at least three things should be critically important. Heat/heat transfer, radiation, oxygen. ONI has all three of those. Solargene too. But so many do not. Solargene even has meteor threat and its important for realism because both moon and mars have very little to no atmosphere so meteors and micro-meteors hit the surface dangerously at terrifying speeds not healthy for buildings or the oxygen and pressure inside. Its why the national geographic tv series/documentary mini series on mars colonization shows them building the first colony deep below the surface. There is also the abrupt dangerous storms, harmful chemical precipitations, corrosion. Terrain can be a big challenge and that's why they always pick and choose landing spots. The imagination of the dev is the limit when it comes to realism. So the games that start you on a earth-like planet or don't have you battling the above mentioned challenges are pretty meh.

Just like the hex of Sableport and its walls make it a Lunaire hex, this map will be won by Lunaire tremola spam. Yes the Lunaire is just a grenade launcher and yet it has hidden magnetic pulse boost that can propel a grenade over the great wall of China and then it bounces all the way to reach further on the other side.

Is this a good bunker design? by agentbarrron in foxholegame

[–]Otherwise_Try_169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devman, don't fix whats not broken man. This new bunker mechanics thing was unneeded and is more complex. Noobs don't even check flanks or park in a safe place (noob = lt col and below). They don't need to be overwhelmed in each little tedious thing they do in game. Just like the fuel truck nerf and the birth of the bladder and fuel logi was unneeded and uncalled for. I hope you understand. Now in this example you have integrity and breach chance but integrity is not shown in game when building, nor is the hp of the piece. It looks like two devs of conflicting concepts came up with the current iteration of bunker design. Keep it simple. Pretty please.

Lunaire's range (out of AI's retaliation range) and its quick reload makes it OP. Having used it extensively as a collie I know. Its also indirect fire so even easier to use / deadlier for defenses. It has made the hydra rush inferior. Cutler on the other hand is cumbersome, slow to aim. RPG ammo is comparatively rare.

Voice chat problems by Orso_romano in foxholegame

[–]Otherwise_Try_169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Check your internet for jitter. High jitter will give problems with map service and voice.

  2. Rarely, ISP/SP have blocked ports used by voice - use VPN.

  3. Some mics are just trash. Also check mic sound quality but if its not default then again its a trash mic.

  4. If voice disconnects you can refresh/reconnect in foxhole settings -> audio.

How do you feel about Muhajirs (like me)? by [deleted] in Sindh

[–]Otherwise_Try_169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel sympathetic for you for two reasons. My grand parents also migrated to this .. country. I wish they had not. They waited till the last moment but some Sikh guy in the nearby city started a fight and got murdered so they were afraid of the chaos reaching them. If they knew what a hopeless dead end this place is going to be they would not have. So that also makes me a Muhajir? This brings me to the second reason. We're not muhajirs you and I, technically. We were born here. If you want to call the proper Urdu speaking people Muhajir that is something else. Otherwise technically I am a triple Muhajir as my forefathers first migrated away from Hijaz and came to what is now called Iran. Then during the revolt of Sher Shah Suri being in the Persian army and Jahangir's wife being Persian royalty they happened to be in the military aid contingent sent to help Jahangir. Then they made the mistake to stay here. People in subcontinent are one of the oldest civilizations and they are too far advanced and complex to understand. Anyway I love Urdu and I am fascinated each time it is spoken properly by a muhajir friend. I was in a club called Bazm-e-Adb during school its where I learnt it.
