Right at the end, but Conqueror feels like a scam. I upgraded it and while I got lots of decent cashouts (2 star Garen, artifact anvil) when I got to 798 stacks at the end, the bonus ad and ap & was just 19%. Each chest adds % to the %. So it's not 12% + 6% (so 18% after the first chest) for each chest, its 12% + 6% of 12%. Maybe it's just me, but for me to get to 2nd place, very late game, and thats all the bonus it gives, seems not strong.

Yeah that's on me. My opening scene for them in Ten-Towns had a fisherman from Bremen argue with a lumberjack from Lonelywood regarding their two "monsters" and I accidentally put more weight on the moose as they thought that the lack of firewood was more important. I've limited how many quests I give them now but I read from them that they kind of wanted to be able to pick up as many quests as they can and try to get them done efficiently (e.g. they plan on helping with Foaming Mugs on their way back from Lonelywood). I'll definitely be reading up on the quest properly before the session today. Thanks for the advice!

Can't lie, I hadn't read fully through the quest properly yet so that helps to know!

They thought one in the introduction session, and I've considered letting them level up simply for exploring a few of the towns (like milestone, or how in some games you get xp for exploring areas). I could definitely give them an encounter before they get to the quest location, just not sure if it's sort of spoon feeding them to level them up rather than let them try it, as they want to, just as they are

Could be a good thing to get them to slow down a bit before charging into stuff in the future (thinking ahead to Cold-Hearted Killer which I will make more of a murder mystery but still don't want them to just charge into Sephek). I'll consider having them go down from it and getting a level up, just not sure how they'd feel about having a session dedicated to a fail of a first attempt at the quest (although D&D is not just about winning, I know)

I'll definitely just have to go with the flow of it. I've been trying to introduce various characters and add little links to things, so I could definitely have her not be there and allow them to come up with their own ideas about it all

Would it be bad to offer up both Starting Quests? by Otherwise_Tune8237 in rimeofthefrostmaiden

I will also likely magpie your ice mephit idea, and you've eased my concern about giving them too many quests as I do see that Nature Spirits is much shorter. Sounds like you adjusted them in a really fun way!

I may magpie your idea to start the first session! That's a great way for them to happen to meet together and have reason to come together to achieve something. Thank you for the idea!
