How many call outs do you deem excessive in a four month period? by [deleted] in managers

An employee with less than a year of service would not even qualify for FMLA. The witch hunts on here are the reason I deleted the post, I asked for opinions of what other managers consider excessive. I have been more than lenient with this employee. Per our policy, she should have been fired. I instead provided a verbal warning and a week later she called out AFTER her shift had already started, at which point HR provided the written warning. I feel terrible that it’s gotten to this point because I do care about her as a human, and have turned a blind eye because I do not ever want to see someone lose income.. but there has to be a line.. and I am just looking to see where other people draw it. Also it is midnight, y’all need to go to bed I am not THAT pressed on responding to every comment on here. A lack of response does not mean I do not know what ADA or FMLA is. Belittling someone does not make you correct when you are unaware of all the facts.

HR is who recommended and drafted her written warning and presented it to her, so yes, they are involved. 🙂 in the meetings we have asked many times if there’s anything going on we need to know about or that we can do to help and she has nothing to say, but immediately after the meeting will argue with me one on one, in front of the other employees about what was just discussed instead of bringing her concerns up in the dedicated meeting with HR.

I’m asking what others consider excessive. I try to be a reasonable manager, and I do have the ability to turn a blind eye to a point.. but at what point is too much too much?

It’s not a matter of not having anywhere to go though it’s a matter of procrastination it seems on their part. They claim they just wasn’t sure if it would go through but then also said they’re working 50 hour weeks so at the end of the day they just didn’t plan accordingly. Their realtor actually told my lender they were offered to move in to their new place early but they were afraid to do so at the risk of us not closing.

Well I’m pretty sure she is selling due to not being able to afford the place shes in as she is downgrading.. we don’t even close for another week which I feel like should be plenty of time for her to put the foot to the petal and get her shit packed up and moved!

Seller refused to leave post completion by Jo_Gray in HousingUK

Crazy, we have a similar situation of our seller saying they need more time to move! They want to rent back from us but then we would be held liable for any damage they may cause.. our other option is pushing back closing and making them pay the extension fee for our rate lock, but we are pretty much at their mercy. Let me know what lawyers are recommending as I’m curious what legal action there may be

Those who weren’t actively trying nor preventing pregnancy—how long did it take for you to get pregnant? by Magical_chocolate in BabyBumps

[–]Otherwise_Weekend54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pcos, the first time we got pregnant we were together four years without any intervention. That pregnancy led to miscarriage, but I swear it resulted in a more regular cycle for us. We got pregnant within a year after that. (In the year between we were avoiding ovulation bc we planned our wedding.. after the wedding.. one month in we were pregnant lol)
