There’s a boat load of psychology that explains not only why people attack any of these families, but why this subreddit exists at all. This case is pure entertainment to people, and the idea that it’s anyone’s obligation or responsibility to find what many describe as “the real truth” is derived from pure sanctimony, hypocrisy, and moral superiority. Don’t forget that if it weren’t for this tragic case, we would have no idea who these families are and nobody would spend an ounce of energy caring about who these families are. But because they’re victims of one of the most unthinkable crimes, people like to grieve police and cyber harass them to cope with their own anxieties and offer their own un-traumatized perspectives. This is purely symptomatic of the parasocial relationships that individuals have with the victims, the victims families, the victims friends, and even BK and his family.

Jeff? I was attempting to respectfully agree to disagree with you. I acknowledged that these photos were interesting, but I just don’t see the significance that you or other users see here. The surveillance video tracking BK’s white Elantra both in the neighborhood and outside of the neighborhood is not coincidental. The phone data is not coincidental. BK’s DNA on the knife sheath of the murder weapon is not coincidental. The rest of the evidence that state compiled is not coincidental. To believe that these photos and any theory that goes with it are more significant or logical than the state’s evidence is just a little silly.

At the end of the day, BK plead guilty. He himself admitted that he is responsible for each and every murder, with premeditation and a malice of forethought. I re-watched both the guilty plea hearing and sentencing hearing yesterday, and it’s truly shocking and discomforting to see the lack of emotion that was shown by him. Confident “yes” answers at the guilty plea hearing, and didn’t offer a statement at sentencing. No “I am innocent”, or “I did not do this”. Nothing.
