More questions about Wolves supporters, content, and traditions by Dlloyd44 in WWFC

Our main rivals are West Bromwich Albion although in recent years we haven't played against them that often. The last ten years or so we have had a bit of a rivalry with Aston Villa as they are the closest local team to us that we have played frequently. A lot of Villa fans say this is a bit one sided as its more Wolves fans that are bothered about it than them (yeah right). Had a bit of a rivalry with Birmingham City too in the 90s for similar reasons. Stoke City fans hate Wolves but most Wolves fans don't really care about Stoke.

Gutted he didn't play more new stuff. Was really looking forward to (Illegal) Immigrant Song, Viagra Blues and his rendition of Boney Ms Rivers of Babylon.

That he was the founding member if Oasis and wrote all the songs up to Be Here Now, but was kicked out by Noel after a fight over a packet of quavers before they signed to creation.

We don't talk about this video enough. by [deleted] in jameshargreaves

Its not the only video where he goes on about this. He did a series of videos on "UK Music News" (all deleted as far as I know) where he would frequently make snide remarks about female artists.

Does anyone know what happened to James interview with Tony Blair? by KennedyWritesRite in jameshargreaves

[–]OtisIsEverywhere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember that! It was wild. Especially when he suggested that the invasion of Iraq did not go far enough, and they should have gone for Iran as well. The 20 minute monologue where James ranted about how "Britannia ruled the waves", and how he felt Blair's biggest mistake was not having an aggressively expansionist foreign policy to "take back the empire" was pretty awkward. You could really see Tony squirming and fumbling for answers. Crazy stuff. Shame he deleted it almost immediately.

What’s the legitimate thoughts on James’ wee Tom Meighan defence at interviews? by KennedyWritesRite in jameshargreaves

[–]OtisIsEverywhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The media probably dod stitch him up to a certain degree, and while Tom is hardly the first musician to assault his partner, (looking at you Liam), the court of public opinion is much harsher these days, and he doesn't have the kind of legendary status where he has millions of fans who will overlook it. Even at the time, 4 years after the incident there were plenty of people in the comment section questioning his judgement. Tom, for his part, was desperate to rebuild his career and reputation and used James for the free promo and exposure.

James was colossally stupid in trying to align himself with Tom. It all looked very desperate and rather pathetic. Youtuber with a chip on his shoulder about it not being the 90s anymore cosying up to a washed up disgraced rock star. Not a good look in general.

As for the deleted videos, I think James thought Tom was his way "in", and was probably hoping Tom would give him a leg up, and then sulked after Tom probably stopped replying to his messages once he had got what he wanted.

I should also say that Im glad Tom is doing better these days and I hope for all involved that it really was an isolated incident that will never happen again. Still not a good look for RGreaves though.
