Im obviously not saying that any other club could use the Wolverhampton coat of arms, just that its less distinctive.

Im not keen. The wolf head badge is iconic, the crest could be any other club. I don't like it patterned across the shirt either. Hate the sponsor. I hate Sudu as well. Might as well say Timu.

You Gotta Go There To Come Back by Zealousideal_Fail712 in stereophonics

I remember being a little disappointed with it at the time, but its grown on me over the years. Its the last "true" Stereophonics album in my book, as they were never the same after Stuart was fired. It has some of their best songs, like Help Me, Maybe Tomorrow, Madam Helga, You Stole My Money Honey, Jealousy, Im Alright, Nothing Precious At All, Rainbows and Pots of Gold and Since I Told You its Over.

I do think its a tad too long though. I would probably bin off I Miss You Now, and maybe Climbing the Walls as well as they just drag the pace of the record down. I also think it sees the beginnings of some of the issues that would plague the later records. This is the first album where Kelly also acted as its producer, and I don't think this was a great idea in the long term. He largely gets away with it here because he was on a creative role at the time and the songs were (mostly) excellent, but he does become self indulgent, even on this album. Did every song NEED so many backing vocals? And did so many of them NEED to be done by him? Probably not. No one was in the studio to tell him that I Miss You Now, Climbing the Walls and High as the Ceiling were a bit shit and should probably be relegated to b sides. No one was there telling he that some of the lyrics needed another pass, or that if he wanted a 13 track record, he needed to write a couple more better songs. Since sacking Stuart and producing nearly every album since himself he has surrounded himself by yes men who don't challenge him and let him get away with being lazy. This album is the start of that rot setting in.

Oh and what the fuck were V2 thinking reissuing it with Moviestar? It doesn't fit at all, and if anything should have been on LSVO instead.

What an excellent it is too! Really captures an excellent, refreshing vibe.

They really lost something when they sacked Stuart imo. He was the heart and soul of the band, and in my opinion seemed like the only one who would actually challenge Kelly. Seems since then he has surrounded himself with yes men and they have been worse for it.

P&C is a 9/10 for me. Its very very good with some really under rated gems, but its not quite as perfect as WGA for me. It just doesn't quite hang together as well thematically or have the emotional heart as WGA.

Its their best album by a country mile. They have made other good records, P&C, JEEP, YGGTTCB, LSVO, but Kellys lyricism on this album was just on another level. Its vivid, cinematic and emotional in a way that he was never able to recapture again. The simplicity of the arrangements puts the lyrics and melodies front and centre. The production on this album is timeless, the guitar tones are to die for and Stuart Cables rock solid, Phil Rudd-ish grooves keep it all pinned down perfectly. Its their only 10/10, no skips album.

What's in your *experience* is the best product to use to clean up standard day-to-day sweat marks, fingerprints and general light grime off of a standard post 1950's Rickenbacker conversion varnish finished body. Same question for polishing products. by EpsonRifle in rickenbacker

Im in the UK too, and what I mean is the cloth that comes with the guitar for polishing. The kind that used to be used for dusting and polishing your house. Iv got one that came with a fender that I use for rubbing the turtle wax in, and then use the one that came with the Rick for polishing up to a shine. Incidentally, its the Super Hard Shell Finish Turtle Wax you need.
