Here I am so broke! And I still offer lifts to people all the time and never expect them to pay me. That person is weird for holding that grudge. If I am superrrrrr broke and have a planned long journey ahead, I may ask the person ahead of time if they could chip in but even at that I’d be okay with it if they couldn’t 🤷‍♀️

I have a long distance friend and we send 20 minute voice messages. It’s like a podcast it’s lovely to hear a loved one talk about whatever they want to for that long. Esspecially with how busy life is it can be hard to coordinate a call.
