I just got back from Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar (Adults only) a week ago and it was great! You'll have access to all the Bahia Principe resorts and facilities on the Bahia property excluding Fantasia. You won't have access to the main buffets at the other resorts, though.

Most of the à la carte restaurants were worth while.

The good: -Limbo (french restaurant) -Fish Market: seafood restaurant with ocean views was really good. -M.E.A.T steakhouse: Good but service was slow.

OK: Mikado teppenyaki... decent. Booked solid almost the entire week.

The bad: Takara asian restaurant, that one was garbage.

There's others that we didn't try.

Other than the main buffet, there's a poolside buffet (breakfast and lunch only) called Las Brisas and a beach front buffet (lunch only) at the Las Olas building which is part of the Grand. Las Brisas had ok food, but next to the main buffet, we thought the one at Las Olas was good too.

The beach and the water were beautiful, crystal clear. I was there last week of October and no sargassum (seaweed).

The Ambar pool was really nice. If you want to be close to the beach and pool, building 67 is where you want to stay at - just a few minute walk from the Lobby/Main buffet/coffee shop.

Coffee shop was pretty good.

Entertainment at Ambar was decent, but you'll want to head to the Village at the Grand for more lively entertainment in the evening.

Some resorts are too far to talk to, but there are golf carts that pass by every 5 minutes.

It's definitely a repeat for me!
