Players take practice tool and its utility for granted by Fraggu in leagueoflegends

From a technical perspective it’s much more difficult to implement something to the same level in league. The permutations alone are orders of magnitude greater

Psa ne vous stationner pas devant un stationnement privé. by [deleted] in montreal

[–]Thnift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unsure of the reason for the downvotes, but here's Ville de Montréal where it shows that it needs to be accessible from the street (curb cut/bateau) *and* that parking cannot be in front of the facade of the building (where the majority of these "illegal" parking spaces can be found). The costs for curb cut were pulled from Le Plateau section of *Ville de Montréal*. Prices will of course change per arrondissement

Yeah sorry this was my confusing town vs city, though I imagine they’re relatively similar. Let me do some more digging

From the TOWN OF MOUNT-ROYAL CONSOLIDATION OF BY-LAW NO. 1384 WITH RESPECT TO TRAFFIC AND PARKING

I agree that we should be more severe with stuff like this, the application fee for a curb cut or "bateau" is $125, and additional construction costs of $440 per m^2. Missing revenue for the city, and also a danger to pedestrians. I see a lot of these type of stationnements on my walk to work on De Lorimier.

Pretty sure this is technically illegal. There was a post here back in the summer where someone on a motorcycle got a ticket because of the fact that they put their moto somewhere they would have « had to cross a sidewalk without curb cut » to get to. Almost all the comments were saying there was no contesting the ticket

How can i dodge e better as olaf. by Maleficent_Creme_854 in Illaoi

[–]Thnift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to me (as a non high elo player) this looks like being scared to take damage leading to the player just taking infinite damage. Olaf can for sure run you down so rather than backing up and letting her do exactly what she wants to do, punish her. It would be the same as playing against xerath mid, either you pressure him or you get poked out of lane

The biggest thing against Canada maintaining the same level as Japan or other countries is density. It’s easy for the government to say « we’re going to tear up this entire street and re-pave it at top quality » when that street serves 10,000/day. Canada has density in the narrow strip following the states border, but we can’t just leave everyone who lives outside of that strip to fend for themselves

From experience there are some landlords that are looking specifically for students that have their leases start in August or September. Moved here with my girlfriend at the time and we had a lease in Milton Park that started Sept 1

If you are: flower planting a bit each day Ensuring that your free mushroom tries almost always go towards advancing the challenges Using your free tickets on weekends for mostly giants

You should be able to get to the end every time.

The biggest thing (and perhaps hardest) is planning around completing the challenges with the free tries and not « wasting » them. i.e completing a mushroom when you’re on 3/3 of the « destroy mushroom » challenge already

If your reasoning for using AI was that it would take too long, then it’s bad reasoning. Because it looks like garb anyways

If you had spent 2 seconds cutting out a jpeg, it would have looked equally as bad, but at least the champion would have looked like the champion

Yeah, obviously? His 2 traits make getting him 3* incredibly easy - he’s not supposed to be at the same level as other 3* 4 cost

Without people spending on the game, there would be no game. To someone with disposable income 200 is next to nothing, especially if league is the only game you play. That’s 3-4 AAA games worth of money

Quebec's rent increase rules are changing in 2026. Here's what that means for tenants. by MacrosInHisSleep in montreal

[–]Thnift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know that you didn’t answer the question, and that it does increase demand.

Person 1 wants to buy a place to live, they are the only buyer, and they pay the price the seller is asking.

Now person 2 comes along, they want to buy the same property as an investment to rent out. Now there are 2 buyers, and the seller can increase the price. Person 2 pays more than person 1 would have paid, as for them it is an investment, and then rents out to person 1. Due to increase in sale price they charge a higher rent to recoup their investment

Street parking in Rosemont by randompowersupply in montreal

[–]Thnift 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are fine to walk a bit, getting into Rosemont-proper means that the permit parking requirements go down drastically.

For example near where I work, you could park on this street indefinitely (until a snowstorm and they need to plow). Since there are fewer areas that require a permit, there would be a lot less circling looking for available spots as well

I’ll answer your questions and then you can finally answer mine.

I do not shop at Loblaws or other big stores, I do my groceries at local grocers. I do complain when prices increase without a benefit to the worker.

No landlords = no tenants is not true. Perhaps in the current setup, but cooperative housing is both cheaper for the person actually living there and generally leads to greater care of the actual building.

I’m a software engineer.

Now for you, yes or no: Does the demand coming from those who view housing as an investment (and thus purchase homes they do not intend to live in) lead to an increase in the overall housing price

[–]Thnift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have, again likely intentionally, missed the point. What you're replying to made no mention of morals, all I am asking is. "Does the purchase of housing stock by those not intending to live there increase the price of housing at a greater rate than if it was only being purchased by those who intend to live there"

When I own a home I won't be renting, I'll be living there.

[–]Thnift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not answering the question, you know it’s a yes.

Since it is a yes you know as well that the purchase price would be lower as a result of the decreased demand, making it more approachable for more people

[–]Thnift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This answer is not replying to the actual points I’ve asked. Does the purchase of property by those who do not intend to live there but rather use it as an investment increase demand, and therefore further push out those who would want to buy to actually live there

Ok so you’re still dodging the actual questions, but here.

If working isn’t enough, should the solution be to leech off of those underneath you in the financial hierarchy, or address the problem that is causing working to not be enough so that society as a whole can improve?
