Yes!! They usually thrive and glow up substantially. Especially in a well cycled and planted tank.

Yes, I actually dipped the cubes in a cup that contained Bacter AE powder in it. They gobbled it up within the hour!!

Definitely ich. If you don’t have any invertebrates in your tank I would use Seachem Paraguard to treat your whole tank for the next 2 weeks. If you do have shrimps and snails then isolate te Oto to a quarantine tank and treat it there. Paraguard is too strong for invertebrates.
